Bought this thermometer after another brand sent us to the ER with a false fever on a newborn. We have used it for over a year now and always get consistent and accurate readings. The short tip allows you to not worry about inserting too far, especially when baby squirms. The light on the display is great for middle of the night. The on/reset button is perfectly placed where your finger naturally rests. And it's a fast read. The only downfall is that you need to be careful when washing the tip, since it is short, it's easy for water to get into the display. That happened to us and we bought another one, but now know better and haven't had any problems since. I even recommend this thermometer to strangers I see looking at thermometers! It's great!

I appreciate the design and simplicity of this thermometer. Being a first time mom, taking my daughter's temperature was one of the things I worried about most. This takes the guess work out of it. With her squirming around, I was able to place this where it needed to be and it took her temp in a matter of seconds. I didn't have to guess if I was going to put it in too far and hurt her. This stops that from happening. I didn't even need any jelly of any kind to lubricate, my daughter doesn't even fuss it's so fast! Love this product.
