I thought this was a great humidifier. It says it has an automatic shut off. The first one I had, I couldnt get it to work again after it automatically shut off on me after the second use. I sent it to the company and they gave me a brand new one that worked correctly. It is extremely difficult to clean inside the water tank as the hole is SOOOO small. Even cleaning it the way the instructions tell you to doesnt get it clean. The best part of this humidifier is that it has a medicine cup. Also, next time I will be buying a cool mist humidifier as I can only use this in the winter. The warm mist makes the room way too hot.

I love this Humidifier its great for my sons dry nose!
it is recommended you use distilled water with any Humidifier but who honestly keeps that on hand except for baby formula and my baby is almost 4 so i sure dont.
If you live in a hard water area like we do water ran trough a water filter is fine also.
Please ignore all the bad reviews as far as drying it is a bit of a hassle but hey u have a blow dryer use that! gosh its not rocket science if you pay for something you should take care of it and not complain and throw it away.
I had one break on me and it was my fault cause i didnt know how to take it out but the Protection plan replaced it.
I just purchased a second one for my self since UT has such dry air! its Rated the best warm mist Humidifier by consumer reasearch and they are correct its great!

This humidifier is a life saver and the baby isn't even here yet. I am currently in my last trimester and recently recieved this item for my baby shower. Well, in my last weeks of pregnancy I seem to be having bad sinus problems and even nose bleeds, so I opened the humidifier and started using it for myself. I love it! It really helps me breath at night. A little noisy at first, but after some getting used to I don't hear it anymore. I dont have any problems with leaks as people are claiming. Very easy to fill and use. I use water from my fridge, so I haven't had a problem with hard water spots and cleaning like some people are claiming to have. The warm mist seems to work better than the cool mist I've used in the past. I definitely have had a great experience using it for myself, and plan to use it for my baby as well.

Trust the reviews on this page. I wish I did. I used it for a month and the bottom handle broke off! I called Kaz (parent company) to inform them and they said the water tank is not covered by the warranty! What kind of company does not cover poor workmanship?

Also, this thing is a pain to clean. You can never get the water tank completely dry because the opening is so small. So when you put it away for storage, the tank stays moist, perfect breeding ground for bacteria and fungal growth.

Very disappointed with this product and the company.

My son had problems with dry cough every once in a while and using this product helps him right away. We even used it for his nap time. It's a little hard to clean but I believe it's worth the trouble as it helps ease sleep time. Our first one lasted for 3 years and now we have registered this same product again for our second son.

I looked at several humidifiers before purchasing... we looked at vaporizers, cold mist, warm mist, germ free, the works. Basically there are two types of "safe" humidifiers: the warm mist and the germ free. You don't want to let untreated water sit and then dispense bacteria into the air. A cold mist humidifier just draws air through a wet filter to add moisture to the air. If there's bacteria in the tank or water, that bacteria gets transferred to the air. Warm mist humidifiers boil the water and release the vapor... this kills 96% of bacteria. Germ free humidifiers are of the cold mist variety but they have a UV light to kill 99% of the bacteria. Be aware that since they are based on cool mist technology, the wet filter can harbor bacteria and it takes a couple of hours before germ-free air starts to circulate. I don't like this idea very much, so I went with the warm mist humidifier. As long as you put in clean, distilled water into a clean, dry tank, you start getting clean, moisturized air as soon as you start it.

This model says you can use tap water, but I've found that using tap water results in mineral deposits on your TV and furniture. You can get distilled water for about a dollar a gallon, and the humidifier uses about a half a gallon per night. So for $0.50 a day you can humidify your bedroom.

I did a test to see how much this unit increases the humidity. We started at 31% and ran the unit on low. The humidity in the room was 36% in the morning for a net increase of 5%. This doesn't seem like much, but we noticed we weren't getting shocked on the light switches, and our skin wasn't quite as itchy. We're going to run it on high tonight to see how the unit performs, but so far we're pretty happy with this purchase.

I use this warm mist humidifier all day & night in my babys nursery. It helps with her congestion and keeps her lips from being dry. I have been using it since she was 5 weeks and it's so quiet she sleeps peacefully with it running. It is also small, portable, and not an eyesore. I love it and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Love this humidifier! We've had it for a couple years now and I'm not sure how we would get through a cold winter without it. It is in constant use between the months of November and April.
We've NEVER had it leak. Ok, except the one time my husband filled it and didn't screw the cap on tight enough >:(. We'll put that one down as major, bonehead user error.
As far as the cleaning of the unit goes. Eh, it is kind of a pain, but if you let it soak in vinegar for a couple of hours it really isn't that bad. I've heard you can use distilled water or buy some kind of demineralization cartridge for the water, but I've never really bothered to look into it. I know buying a gallon of water isn't all that expensive, but when you probably go through 1-2 gallons of water a day at roughly $.75 a gallon....it really starts to add up. I'd rather just clean the thing. Has anyone used the demineralization thingy???
Anyways, bottom line is I love this thing and would recommend it to ANYONE who lives in a cold climate like Ohio during winter months.

We used this when my daughter caught two different colds. It worked great the first cold and then this last time it just didn't work. If you have a water softener it builds up on the product. I could NOT let water sit in it NOT even for a day. I was constantly cleaning it and it is a pain to clean. I was considering buying something different (only used it for maybe 14 days total all night long) and it started leaking all over the place. Another thing is water would not last all night on the second setting, would have to refill.
