THis Monopoly is a REVAMPING of the old version. The Chance and Community Chest aren't the memerable orange and yellow, they have the logos from the spaces, and the graphics on the front are completely trash. They aren't original. Same with the board itself. It looks good at first, but up-close, you can see the ugly truth.

Sometimes the original is still the best. Though Monopoly has many sequels and specialized editions, the original version was a hit with our 6-year old granddaughter. While the game is ostensibly for an older child, our Kindergartener is learning to add the dice on sight and handle money conversions. And the game is fun! It has a quick version with a special die, but she prefers the "real" game. Though sometimes a game has to be carefully placed aside to resume later or the next day, it's a great addition to Gram and Grandpa Time.

My 6 and 7 year-olds love Monopoly, but it would take days sometimes to finish a game, and my husband and I would groan when they chose it for game night. This version with the Fast Play die and instructions really did speed up the game and that has made it much more enjoyable. If you like Monopoly, but don't have 8 hours to devote to a game, this is the answer.
