    We bought Risk to play with our boys (ages 6 1/2 and 8) and they have really enjoyed it. We worried the rules would be too complicated, but that wasn't the case, and there are some "fast play" rules as well. The only downside to the game (aside from the pieces being necessarily very small) is that it is very difficult to tell the difference between the "gray" army and the "green" army on the board, and the "blue" army is only slightly better. They'd have been wiser to make the "gray" an "orange" instead. The similar colors (in any lighting) make it difficult to know who is who. The boys are learning some good strategy concepts and beginning to understand that sometimes it's best to simply wait than attack all the time. Teaching kids this age that it "instant gratification" doesn't yield as good a payoff as waiting isn't easy, but they're having fun figuring it out.

        The first time i played it. It was with my friends, i played it for about 20 hours. one day we played it for 5 hours straight and it felt like 15 min.

                This is one of the classic funnest games out there. It will possibly take about 3 hours to finish but there is alot of adrenaline and twists. Alot of strategy involved and alot of "risk" when learning when to attack. Definitely buy this game you will enjoy it! - Ali S., Founder [@]
