Cute and all but not very sturdy. While the mat was on the floor, my older daughter stretch out her legs and "hit" one of the bars. The thing cracked immediately! I tried fixing it but the "bar" inside is made so cheaply it will not hold up to the fix job. Had to toss the mat out. Not happy AT ALL!!! A baby's toy should not break THAT easily from a little child.

Love everything about this play mat! We were given this mat as a gift and I couldn't have known how much I would end up loving it. Pros: Machine washable; easy to fold up and throw in the car to bring to grandparents house; different links for moving the animals around; varying textures for baby to explore and feel; the colors are great for a baby, but not just primary red & blue- it's actually pretty cute; I really love that the music starts back up by hitting the music notes (something that my baby will certainly be more and more amused by as she gets older). I noticed another reviewer complained that the flowers didn't light up on her mat- I can happily report that mine has worked beautifully since day one. Con: The Mozart is just like every other baby toy- computerized. It's disappointing to me that manufacturers don't make toys that play recordings of actual instruments. Bottom line, though, my baby and I both adore this play mat. I absolutely recommend it!

This is without a doubt one of the best baby purchases I have made. I can honestly say, that since my son was 5 weeks old that this is one of the only reasons that I have gotten to eat breakfast or take a shower some days. He is obsessed with it. It's perfect to put anywhere in the house, and we love all the sounds and animals it has on it. We also use it for tummy time and it has visual stimulation all around. Great purchase, highly recommended for any family.

This mat is not nearly as exciting or interactive as the packaging would have you believe, even to a 6-month-old. The music and lights touch pad constantly needs its batteries replaced, even with little use and being stored in OFF mode. I would not recommend this pad, as it is far overpriced.

To me, an activity gym is a must-have. This one has held up great. Sturdy. The toys are entertaining. The giraffe was the fist toy my son really enjoyed looking at. The music can be repetitive and not the greatest quality, but I didn't find I used it too often anyways.

Now my son is sitting so we took off the arches. He likes to sit/roll on the matt, and plays with the colorful things on it. We use it EVERY day.

You will get your money's worth out of this toy. Our baby loves this play gym and it will grow with your baby. We have used it her entire first year of life. As a newborn, the bright colors and hanging toys were very engaging and stimulating. As she grew, our baby could stand up and hold on to the "bars" and learn to balance on her on. This toy is how she learns balance better than anything else. The hanging toys are some of her favorites! She especially loves the elephant and giraffe. We take these removable toys with us everywhere we go. Our baby loves chewing on the elephant's trunk and giraffe's legs as she is now teething. The mirror is also great but our baby liked a handheld mirror better. The mat is easy to wipe off if baby drools on it. That is all the cleaning it has required. Folds up easy for quick storage under the crib or in closet. Highly recommend!

Our baby loves the bright colors, dangling animals, and mirror. Great for tummy time and eye-hand coordination as she tries to play with the animals. The fabric is machine-washable.

I'd give this a 4.5 stars if I could. Our daughter liked this playmat from the time we laid her in it. She liked the music and watching the dangling animals. Over time she got more interested in grasping for them, hanging onto them, and eventually rolling to see herself in the mirror. I got it as a shower gift, and would recommend it to friends. It surprisingly traveled well in a big suitcase when we went on a trip...we think it made her feel at home having her playmat there in the hotel room.

We received this playmate as a gift for my son (now 2) and we started using it after a few weeks of his arrival. He loved it and was entertained for months with it. We now have a girl (3 months old) and we started her after a few weeks too and she spends up to 30 minutes under it at a time. We use it for tummy time also and she seems to really like it (the mat, not tummy time so much). The giraffe that hangs is a favorite of theirs and other babies that have used it at our house. Very gender neutral pattern with bright colors and patterns.
