I bought this easel for my daughter when she was 2. She is now 6 and still uses it all the time. I love that it is adjustable so it has grown with her. Totally worth the money because this is sturdy and long lasting. I actually have a little earlier version and the newer one has a better holder for the paper roll.

RECVD as a gift and the box was damaged along with the two supply trays. both were cracked and there were no directions inside. since it was recvd as a gift there is no recpt. How can I get the direction as well as new trays. This was gifted to my granbaby and she was very sad it arrived without the above items

In response to some of the 1 star reviews: Having learned from past experience, NO chalkboard works well unless you prep it. You need to rub a piece of chalk sideways over the whole board, then wipe it away, before you write on it. Then, it works wonderfully. Dry erase side wipes away with no problems. Check your markers and make sure you don't leave the marker on the board for a long period of time... that will leave a stain, albeit, usually the stain wipes away with a cleaner like windex. Within minutes of assembly, we had HOURS of fun for my older 3: ages 3, 5, 7. I love that they can just walk up and make art at any time!

After read some of the reviews I was a bit concerned about the chalkboard. However, I did some research and found that the chalkboard needs to be primed prior to use, by rubbing chalk all over (this was not included in the instructions that I could find). I did this and found the board to work just fine. I bought this for my 3 year old twins, and chose this one because it provided clips on both sides to hang easel paper, so they can both color and paint together. This is a christmas gift and I can't wait to see them play with this. The only thing that would make this better is if the dry erase and chalk board were magnetic.

I researched a lot of easels and I wanted one to grow with my son. He got this for his second birthday about 6 months ago. I put it all together and my son helped. After we prepped the chalkboard, and put a roll of table paper on, it was ready for him to play. He absolutely loves it and now we're using the crayola dry erase crayons on the dry erase board. He's writing letters and numbers now, drawing and having a great time with it. It's durable and will grow with my son. We all just love it!

Large Standing Easel by Melissa & Doug: Our great-grandson loves his easel. We paint together and draw mostly on the Dry Erase side of the board. He is 4 1/2 years old, and absolutely spends part of everyday playing at the easel. We love the versitility, and the creative time he gets to spend at the easel. The easel is sturdy and he should be able to use it for several years. Wish we had found it sooner.

After weeks of waiting for the Imaginarium Grand Master Easel to get in stock, with no luck, I opted for this easel as with other Melissa and Doug products we have, I knew it would be great quality. Simple easel, very easy to assemble, and my daughter LOVES it.

i got this product for my 9 year old daughter and she loves it! you have to prep the chalk board before using it for best usage, if you get the kit that goes with it, you'll have everything your child needs to have fun and be creative!

I did a lot of research before I purchased this easel.I almost didnt purchase this due to bad reviews on the part of the chalkbored side. The chalkboard....well it really isnt a "Real Chalkbored" its not the best but it works but by no means is it the worst and I still would buy it again.
This is a Christmas gift for my daughter so she hasnt played with it yet but we did put it together Early just to make sure we had all the parts, and we did. I am very happy with this product its sturdy and well made. very happy I didnt pass up on it. Also the chalkbored works better after you prep it with chalk.

My 3-year-old daughter got this as a birthday present. My dad originally bought a different easel and when he opened it, it was broken. So he returned it and got this one instead. This easel is very cute and well made. It has the chalkboard, whiteboard and a painting area...my dad got the accessories kit which completed the easel and is perfect for little toddler hands. My daughter has absolutely loved this easel. It has kept her very busy since she got it.
