I received this as a shower gift from a music teacher because she thought it was a wonderful gift and she was right! We started using it when my daughter was a month old by pushing the buttons and letting her watch the lights. Now she is 8 months old and plays with it independently. In fact, she likes the music so much that she will push a button and go play with another toy then when the music stops she presses another button to start it again. It is a great way to introduce different instrument sounds and then play them together. The only down fall that we have seen is that there is only 1 sound level.

My daughter got this for her 1st Christmas at 1 month. Obviously she couldn't interact with it at that age, but she enjoyed watching the lights and listening to the music. As she has grown up (she is 11 months now) she loves to play with this toy. She doesn't quite understand the proper way yet, but it all part of the growing you can do with this toy. It will be neat to see her start grasping that the one button will play piano and another the flute, you can put them together or play on their own. I think this is a great instrument teaching tool.

I gave this to my one year old granddaughter and she absolutely loves it. She pushes the buttons and dances to the music.

I bought this for my 18 m. old daughter as a car toy. It is a little big for a car toy--hard to hold on her lap. But it is entertaining with all the different music and fun for her to listen to.

My daughter and everyone who has seen the toy (infant-adult) has LOVED this toy! When she was smaller (about 2 1/2 months), I could play with her by manipulating the toy myself--she loves the flashing lights and the music! I could also turn it on and put it in her lap and if she'd kick her leg or swing her arm she'd accidentally hit a button making it play which she loved! As she got older she could explore it herself. It has always kept her interest--multiple songs keeps it from 'getting old.' A wonderful toy that teaches cause and effect, appreciation of music, and encourages curiosity. I'm buying one for my classroom as well!

This is the only 'thing' that could get my newborn son to stop crying - other than my husband or me holding him! Then, after a few months, our son wasn't crying all the time any more... but the cube still made him perk up and show interest. Then at 6 months, the cube started getting played with without our prompting... he liked chewing on it, too. Now, at almost 9 months, it still is the only thing we KNOW will stop him from crying. My husband and I love the music, too! My son rolls to it, bites one it, grabs it, hits the 'buttons' for different colors/sounds... it is GREAT.

There are a few things I love about this music toy. 1st--it has an off switch. 2nd--the music is appealing rather than annoying. 3--it's fun to add and take away instruments from the orchestra so that I child can hear that while each instrument plays a different set of notes they all come together in one piece.

This is a very well made toy, good sounds and lights. But for some reason, my 7 month old is terrified of it. He cries every time we try it out. He likes other music toys, this one he hates. I give it three stars because it seems like a good toy, but there is no volume control, and perhaps it is just too loud for my little guy.
