I ordered this product to use with my 6 month old daughter. It arrived on time and the box was in good condition. It was extremely easy to set up, just a few hook-ups here and there.

It looks great, a vibrant red color with black trim and I absolutely LOVE how padded it is for my little one. She looks very comfortable riding in the carrier and the frame bars have thick padding so I know they aren't hurting her.

It is a little tricky to get her all buckled in but after doing it a few times it is easier. I like how sturdy the stand is for when I am getting her set up. It also comes with a cell phone pouch and a bigger pouch which were nice added bonuses.

The carrier is a bit heavy on its own and the shoulder straps aren't the easiest to adjust once it's on with the baby inside. Also, the sun canopy is a bit on the small side. I haven't used the rain cover yet.

I was compairing this with the Kelty befor I bought it. The Kelty got rave reviews but I think thats if you some kind of trail blazer hiking pro. My husband and I are L.A. city folk and we were looking for something to take the baby to very crowded places like Venice or the LA County Fair. I ended up with the Chicco because of the price and I really like it and so does my baby. He's asleep within minutes when we put him in it and when he wakes he loves looking around at the world. I feel so much safer with him in it and it sure beats the stroller. Our poor fancy stroller hasnt seen the light of day since we got the chicco, I even caught my husband doing his house work with the baby in it today. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I have only had it 2 weeks so I cant say much for the long term durablity and also the sunshade is a bit small but we just put a hat on the baby and it was all good.

I use the product everyday! I use it in my workout routine. I walk 40 to 50 minutes carrying 23 pounds. I even connect my dogs leash around my waist and it leaves my hands free. Its a great workout and my baby of 7months loves it! I use the product when I go grocery shopping or just shopping. I carry my baby while I do house hold chores. I love this product and my legs are looking great! Now things that could improve, the shade should be moveable because I don't like the sun on my baby's bald head,( I put a hat on him). I wish there were more pockets to carry cell phone, mace, ipod,doggy poop bags! We will be going to Disney World and we will be taking our Chicco backpack! ,

We have used this backpack hiking in the mountains, for walks along the beach, strolls with the dogs, and our two year old rides in it every week while daddy mows the yard. He brings him into me fast asleep! I like that it is easy to use when I am by myself. I just sit the backpack down and load the kiddo up, and when he was little we would just leave him in it-supervised- like a chair to have a snack or break and even to watch fireworks. I have another one on the way and fully intend to keep on using it. Highly recommend this backpack!

I purchased this for father's day, so that my hubby could treck our 1 year old around, and it is pretty convenient, not to mention that our little guy falls asleep within 10 minutes, however, it came with NO instructions on how to secure the child,and how to put on the back-pack, which is bull.

our son loves to be in it, however,
the sun visor does nothing, its too small. it fits me 4'11 better then my husband 5'11. it sits on his lower back and causes some discomfort. the waist belt needs to be longer for larger people. also the storage is too small.

We take our nine month old son on hikes in the woods with our dog and he loves it! We recently took him to some raft races and he could see all the excitement and still be safe on his daddy's back near the rushing water. He even fell asleep and the soft padding was a great pillow. This product is great for anyone who wants to take their young children out and not mess around with a stroller or juggle them on your side all day. I will buy it as a gift at my next shower.

Used a few times then in the middle of a long hike the frame cracked when I was setting it down. I was able to return for full refund but was an unfortunate experience

We live in Orlando, FL and visit the parks and crowded malls on a regular basis with our daughter. I used to push our stroller and fight with the crowds. It is so nice to be able to walk freely through these areas now. We all enjoy going out again.

The bag that comes with it is small but we easily added a larger one that meets our needs.

I am 6'2" and wear this for hours with no discomfort. It is a little short for me and does not offer the full support that it would for a person of average height. This is the only reason we did not give it all five stars.

This is probably a great pack but not for my husband or I. We tried it on in the store with the help of 2 sales associates. It hits me too low and my husband too high and you can't adjust everything. The sales people said that this is a common problem for a lot of people of average height. We went with the Kelty pack. It's more expensive, but it adjusts to fit both my husband and myself and the straps and support hit in the right places.
We've both had our fair share of regular soft framed and external framed packs to hike across the country. These kids carriers aren't much different. Try the pack first before buying it because if it doesn't fit you then it doesn't matter if this pack is better priced, it will just kill your back no matter how little or big your child is.
