The concept is great, but their construction is poor. My 14 month old can reach them and open them. At first he could just spin them, but then he got a little taller and all he has to do is give a little tug and they pop right open. I have to go find a different brand now.

I bought these because my Puppy turns on the gas when he checks out what is on the stove, but no more can he turn on gas. :)

I loved these, they worked well, and then . . . they melted! It happened the first time that I used my oven and opened the oven door, the plastic actually melted and fuzed the lid shut. Now I cannot open the lids to turn on my stove. I am not sure what I am going to do, I either have to get a hammer and whack the plastic in hopes of breaking it, or i have to buy new oven knobs.

Our stove knobs are very easy to turn and since we have a gas stove as soon as the knob is turned the burner ignites. These work perfectly to keep our curious toddlers from doing that. My twins think it is fun to spin them around so they think they are doing something naughty but I know they are safe. They are easy to open and close and I would just stick them in the dishwasher if they needed washing. One thing- If you have to push the knob in to turn it they might not work because of how they attach. They attach by removing the knob, putting the cover on the post then returning the knob. We had this problem at the grandparents house and ended up just removing the knobs until we used the stove.

These work great for my 19 month daughter! Keep her from being tempted to play with the oven knobs. She does not mess with them much, however, I would say, if you have a child who is very determined to get to the oven knobs or a child who is relatively strong, I do not think these would work for you. If my daughter really, really tried, I think she might be able to open them, as the covers do not seal as tightly as I would like. If you smack at them hard enough, they pop open, defeating the purpose of the product. However, for her, they are a good deterrent, and she has never opened them, making them worth the purchase.

I love these. I've had them on for almost 2 years and haven't had one problem with them. Definitely helpful from keeping my busy little 2 year old from turning on our gas stove!

These may be good for occasional use, but if you cook every meal everyday like I do, these are not worth it. I have gone through 4 of these in the last 5 months. I am down to one, and even that one is broken! It falls off when I open it. Buy something else or take your knobs off! They also rubbed the paint marks off of my stove.

they dont stay still and two of mine already broke. he can just pull them off. i would rather just take off the knobs... now if they came with an adhesive that made them stick to the stove then it would be MUCH better. the only pro i can find is that he cant turn it on which is the most important but he still can pull the whole thing off.

As a first time mom, I bought every single safety product I could think of, including these knob covers. As soon as my son could reach them he was able to get them open. This is even before showing interest in taking the tops off of his sippy cups. It looks like there is a button that has to be pushed down, but one yank and they're open. So, these are really useless. It's too bad, because other products from this company work well. Obviously the best safety precaution to be taken in the kitchen is to always supervise your child. But as my now toddler aged son spends more time wandering around by himself, it would have been nice to have these work.

We bought our house recently from a family that had small children snd these were left on the stove for us after we bought the house. Their kid was about 3, mine is 16 months. I love these. Of course you have to always supervise but these are great because instead of having them turn your range on you hear these knob covers moving (baby attempting to open them or just playing with them) and you can go over there and remove the baby from the area. It's not meant to take the place of supervision (like ANY other child safety item) but it gives you a few extra seconds to grab your kid from a situation.
Reson I gave it only 4 stars is they come in a 5 pack and the previous homeowners only had 4 so it's missing one and from reading other reviews my best guess is that one broke. I need to buy another set just for 1 cover?
