Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Operation Board Game:

Bought this over the weekend, thinking that it would be as much fun for our kids, as it had been for us. Out of the box, my barely-5-year-old was able to remove most of the pieces on the first try, with no buzz. The problem is not with the buzzer, but rather the fact that the holes are so stinking big. Where is the challenge?!? This totally stinks in comparison to the game I grew up with. Heading for ebay to try and get a "vintage" one. VERY disappointed!!!!!

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Operation Board Game:

I remember this game being fun and challenging. When my wife came home with it I was pumped to play a round with my 4 yr old son. They have made this classic game so easy that my son has yet to hit the edge. Well I guess this is the way we raise kids now. Everyone gets a trophy

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Operation Board Game:

I dont mind that it has an updated look, but the holes are so large that even my 5 yr old can get all the pieces out with ease. She even tried to make it harder by mixing the items in the wrong holes. Still too easy. This game is boring! Not fun like it was when I had one as a child.

Bouught this game with great childhood memories. They have changes the operation slots, so they are all so big that there is no challenge to the game. My 8 year old got all the items out without hitting the buzzer once and my 6 year old could do it easily as well. Too easy. Maybe for 4 or 5 year olds.

This product is for a child around 3 or 4, not a 5 or 6yr old. Also, it doesn't teach anything like the old one (heart, lungs and bones)- this version is a waste of time, money and space. The holes are so big that the buzzer doesn't goes off even when you hit the sides. In the olden days, it took skill to remove the parts.-sorry Hasbro, this is a flop.

Operation is a great game for two or more people to play. However, at 36 years old I didn't realize the "old style" Operation was a thing of the past. This "new style" Operation is FAR easier than the old style, which is disappointing. My 4 year old had little problems getting all items out. I timed myself and got all items out in 31 seconds. I'm just sad to see the old, more challenging one, go.

This game is nothing like the original, there are none of the old body parts, Funny bone, Charlie horse etc. now theres a cell phone? headphones? and ice cream bar? really? and the openings are larger, makes this game way too easy, says ages 4 and up, my 4 YO mastered it immediately. Clearly this game succumbed to the "everyone wins, no ones dissapointed" mentality these days
dont waste your money, try to find the real game if you can

Although my son has not opened this Christmas gift yet, I know he will love it. He plays this game at preschool and talks about it all the time. It's not only fun, with its funny peices and buzzing noise but it is also a great tool to encourage fine motor skill development.
