    My son LOVES trains and the wooden & diecast Thomas cars and tracks are super durable for years of play... and hold up even when accidently dropped, stepped on or the occassional temper tantrum throwdown! I've never had a Thomas brand train come apart which is such a critically important feature considering the risk of small parts around small children. I just wish the prices were a little more reasonable considering it's a toddler toy... I don't quite understand why this is a collector item... no child could resist taking this toy out of the box to play with! But at least I know it's going to withstand the abuse of being played with nearly every day for year after year. The ones we bought for our older son 5 years ago are still in perfect condition for our toddler... even ones that belonged to our now teen son when he was a toddler are in great shape! I can't say the same for the cheaper brands!

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        My 2 1/2 year old boy loves this train- I only by the wooden trains because I feel that they last longer. He plays with this one all the time.

          well made product. but very small toy. only about 6 inches long. couple inches high. price might be a little high for size.
