Description



As sports toys go, the Little Tikes DiscoverSounds Sports Center has something for every little athlete: baseball, football and basketball activities. The interactive electronic backboard has a ball drop and a real hoop that keeps track of baskets, and counts from 1 to 10. When kids make a basket theyll hear one of 5 sports songs or 5 sports themed sound effects. The attached clicking baseball and oversize bat ensure a hit. A football shaped bead spinner lets kids pretend to put the ball through the goal post. Includes parent-controlled volume control and a handy carrying handle on backboard. Comes with 2 basketballs and 1 soft bat.

We have 9 month old twins and both love this. We got it when they were about 4 months old, and they loved the football piece. We'd hold them up so they could spin it and it would keep their attention longer than any other toy. As soon as they could sit up on their own at 6 months they were both able to make baskets. They also try putting other toys through the hoop, which we get a big kick out of. It's always funny when we'll find a large stuffed animal sitting in the hoop :) We haven't given them the bat yet, but they still like to spin the baseball by hand.

Yes, it's loud, but they love it and it's fun to cheer for them. And yes, it can tip over if they pull themselves up on it - but I really wouldn't want it to have a huge weighted bottom and be a pain to move around. They are at the age where we're constantly supervising them, so it's no problem for us to make sure they don't pull it over on themselves.

They've played with this toy every day for the past several months, and we really love watching them enjoy it.

The product is just alright nothing to special.. dont be fooled into buying it for a two year old.. It is only good really for a 6m-18m old.. The thing is very small in size. I love how the picture is blown up with the kid next to it above how false is that. I bought this for my first son he didnt really play with it much at all. My second son who is now one, plays with it on occasion since it is his size. But as most people say he only plays with the basketball portion. The football rattle is better for a six month old. So if you going to buy this start at a younger age. Not really good for older kids.

      My 9 month old son LOVES this toy! My husband and I also enjoy trying to make baskets from long distances. It can tip if they apply weight at the top but it's not an issue, we pick it up and continue where we left off & he's now learned where he can pull up on it. He loves the basketball and the football part.. which is kind of nice because he can grow into the baseball. I love the activities and also the sounds... very entertaining.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              My son is almost 1 year old, so he's only interested in this toy about half the time, but I like that it has a real scoreboard and it makes sounds. My son does love to haul around the bat and the ball, which are unattached, so that is a plus! I think he'll enjoy it alot more in a few months or so. I'd say this toy is worth the money.

                I bought this for my 11 month old because it had so many different things in one. The only problem is that he can tip it over quite easily. I can't seem to mount it to anything so I have to hold it when he plays with it, or stands up at it. This is probably ideal for an older kid, but I didnt pay attention to that when I bought it, so that is my fault, my son still loves to play with it though!

                    This was given as a gift to my (now 3 years old) older son for his first birthday. He loved that he could put the balls through the hoop. The football and baseball features were hardly ever played with. The bat got more usage being used to chase the cat with than to hit the baseball. (it's also an impressive microphone) My younger son (now 18 mos) likes to dunk the basketballs as well. He also doesn't pay any attention to the football or baseball even after I show him how to hit the ball. It's wide so it takes up space which I find bothersome. Had I actually spent money on this I would have been upset. Not worth the money in my opinion. Maybe for younger babies, like when they're able to sit up on their own but not much for toddlers.

                    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                    I was fooled by the size of this toy. I thought it would be just a little bigger than it actually was. My son is only ten months and he towers over this thing like he is a full blown three year old. It was not as impressive as it looks, but I will say my baby does love it. It is a great toy but it is not worth [$].
