I own an Ergo, but bought this so DS could face outward. It was cheap, which makes sense now. DS loves it, but it's very uncomfortable for my back. I feel like I'm constantly leaning forward because DS's weight is in front. The pictures make it seem like your child will just lean back into you. But if you have an active 5-month old like I do, he'll constantly be leaning forward against the Bjorn when he's facing out. I can only wear it for short amounts of time. I've tried adjusting the straps a million ways, but nothing helps. I wish I tried out the Bjorn Active or Synergy first. I'm now trying to get DS adjusted to the hip carry on the Ergo, as it's 100 times more comfortable.

My daughter is now 3 months and I've been using it since she was 6 weeks. It's very comfortable for me and she falls asleep almost every time. It keeps us both cool during these hot summers months too. If your back starts to hurt while using this, I suggest re-adjusting the straps on it.

This carrier is great. We decided to pay a little more and get the Carrier Air was we live in Florida and it is hot here much of the year. It has been great. I didn't start using it until my daughter was about 2 monthes old. I am not sure why except I guess I just put it away and forgot about it. I used it everywhere. It is great to the grocery store or when out doing errands. I didn't like keeping her in the cart, while I leaned over to get something off the shelf or looking around at stuff. It was also great when walking to dog. Sometimes it is tough with the stroller and the dog (she is a hyper lab) and having the baby in the carrier let me use both hands ont he leash. We used it until she was just to heavy and tall for it to be comfortable for her. As soon as she had enough head control, she loved facing out and seeing what was going on! Also goes through the wash great. I have washed it in the machine numerious times and air dried it and it had held up great, still looks like new! Will get it out right away for the next one coming in a few months.

Everyone raves about baby bjorn but I just don't get it. This product may be easy to get your baby in and out of but it fails in distributing weight evenly. Both my husband and I have used it several times and we agree that it will kill your back. I would look for something with a back belt or something.

My first time using the carrier on a walk within the first 5 minutes my back and shoulders were killing me. My friend had the original one and she said it was comfortable. I don't think I will be using this ever again.

My Husband got this for me as a Christmas gift. I started using it when my daughter was just 1 week old. She is now 12 weeks and we both still enjoy it. Its a life saver in stores or around the house! Its really comfy and easy to get my daughter in and out of... I would recommend it to anyone!

I tried this out with our 2 month old and was pleasently surprised that a)it fit me & my husband comfortably and I'm a size 20 & he's on the heavier side as well. b) it didn't hurt my back AT ALL. My daughter is warm blooded and she would get too hot in the BsbyBjorn Original carrier after a short period of time. I exchanged it for the BabyBjorn Carrier Air and it's PERFECT! Baby keeps cool and we walk all over the place comfortably! My 2 1/2 month old loves it!

I really enjoy using my baby bjorn. My son is on the bigger side and is very heavy to carry in his car seat. It is very easy to take my son in and out of and makes it much easier to do grocery shopping or other tasks when a stroller will not work. My son enjoys being the bjorn in both facing in and out. It is not a necessity but a nice thing to have.

I received this carrier as a baby shower gift. I thought it was a great carrier, as it was expensive, got great reviews, and looked sleek. It as also easy to use and my baby liked it. However, once my son got to be even 3 months old, it became very uncomfortable. It does not distribute the weight right at all and the fabric does not seem like it would be nice against my sons skin. I tried on another baby carrier in a shop today that can be used from infant to toddler and it is was a night and day difference in comfort, you can wear your baby on your back, and it is similarly priced to this. My advice: to some research on baby carriers and you will quickly discover that there are much better options out there.
