The Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket is perfect for the young adventurer who is looking to get into off-roading! The Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket is a scaled down version of a real dirt bike that has a cool, Supercross style. It also has 16" and 14" pneumatic knobby tires for a comfortable, smooth ride.

The Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket has a lot of features that makes it awesome! It has a high torque 500w electric motor for a powerful ride. It also has dual suspension and riser handlebars for added comfort. Your speed demon will love the Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket because it can go up to 15 miles per hour. It can also travel up to 10 miles or last for 40 minutes on a single charge! The Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket comes with 3 12volt batteries and a charger. The batteries take 8 hours to fully charge. The Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket also has a retractable kickstand and a hand operated rear brake. It can hold riders up to 175lbs. Tools are included for easy assembly. Colors and styles may vary.

Santa brought this bike for xmas '07 and it has been nothing but fun for my 8 yr old! We have not needed any repairs or returns and the battery does lasts a long time,well over 2 hours, if yours does not last exchange the battery for a new one! we live in the suburbs and can't have gas powered bikes (this one is silent) so it is perfect for him and it is plenty fast. The only drawback is that it is a little heavy to go flying off of jumps but if your doing that you need a real dirt motorcycle anyway. This is so worth the money and it is great for the beach bordwalk, parks, and trails, because it is electric! no noise, no sparks, no problems!

We bought this Razor motorcycle for my 9 year old son for Christmas. He rode it for one day and the day after Christmas he went to ride it and the back wheel mechanism that catches the chain had broken. We had it repaired at a local bike shop (under warranty). Then after about 4 months the same part broke again but the kicker is the bike is only under a 90 day(3 month) warranty so I had to pay about $50 bucks to get it fixed. The less than 6 months later it broke a third time!!! So, I decided I was not spending more money to fix the bike again and since have gotten my son a gas powered bike. I had called Razor about it and the customer rep mentioned that there are "known" issues with this bike so they know there are problems with it but they are still selling it. This is a big ripoff if you ask me. Razor should not be selling a bike that there are known problems with, it is bad customer service and just wrong. Don't waste your money on this bike.

We purchased this product for my 9yr old son who is very tall for his age and he loves it. Not to fast for him and was easy to learn. But I have a problem with the shipping. The box came half open and torn. I would of sent it back but did not want to cut it close to Christmas. All the parts were in tack and nothing was broken..thank God. So great product but poor shipping.

My son, who is 8 years old, absolutely loves this bike!! He rode it on and off all day with no problems. Reco it is for 14-year-olds but it seems perfect for my son (who is average height and weight). Given the other reviews, I am very interested to see how well it holds up.

I am impressed with the construction. My 5 year old grandson is small for the bike I thing 6 or 7 wound be better he has to be helped to get it moving,then he doesn't want to stop. No problems so far, make sure the battery's are fully charged and the master switch is off when not in use.(they are about $100) I've installed li ion 25ah battery's they are lighter and last twice as long 90+min.. (stock battery's work fine for about 45min of hard use.) some people have warn out the tires shows mx500 can last.

My 7 year old and 9 year old got this from Santa. Within a few months of riding it in the Spring it was broken. Of course...by the time we got to it, the warranty was no longer valid. They loved it, unfortunately it is a piece of junk. We spent $170 to fix it and exactly one week later it was broken again. The wheel axel broke this time. The boys ride it on our manicured lawn and driveway. I can't imagine what would happen if you actually rode it on dirt. What a shame that companies continue to make junk like this. So much money wasted and little boys dissapointed. Spend a little more and get something that will last.

The batteries would not charge, so I bought a new charger. It worked fine after that.

About a year later when the batteries would not hold a charge anymore, I bought new ones at quite a hefty cost, because I thought for sure it couldn't be the charger. After all, it was new.

Within 3 uses, the battery is not holding a charge again...

I guess I need another charger. This little bike is getting quite expensive.
