The Step2 Naturally Playful Front Porch Playhouse features a front porch with a built-in bench that is perfect for shade on sunny days or cover on rainy days. The detailed interior includes a pass-through window, molded-in sink with swivel faucet, and stove top with clicking knob. Plus a working Dutch door and side window with shutters and a decorative peaked roof that has a skylight for a brighter interior.

My 3-year-old daughter absolutely LOVES this playhouse! She has put lots of play food inside, where she pretends to cook us meals. She has had lots of fun ringing the door bell and sitting on the front porch. Inside, she has a small folding lounge chair where she sits and reads books, and sometimes colors. We added a small florescent light, which we stuck on the ceiling of the playhouse, for about $7 from [...]. We have decided to keep the playhouse indoors so I do not know if it's weather resistant. Since it is made of hollow plastic, it's not a good idea for an adult to step on the porch. It is fine for children. My daughter has had no problems. I stepped on it once and immediately got off because I felt the hollow plastic porch push down a little bit. I don't think it would have cracked or caved, but I wasn't about to test it. Instead, I am able to step over the front porch area (that's made of hollow plastic) and still get inside the playhouse with my daughter. Since there's no bottom inside the playhouse, my daughter and I are actually playing on the carpet. If you are outside, then you'd probably be playing on the grass. The doorway is big enough for my daughter, who turns 3 next month, to get through. I was also able to get through the doorway. My daughter has plenty of standing room inside. Since I'm a little over 5 feet tall, I had to sit inside. I think it is big enough for two children (maybe three kids if they are small and don't mind being close together), or one child and a small/average sized adult. This really is a great playhouse. It didn't take too long to set up and we've had a lot of compliments on how it looks inside our great room. I also love how it keeps my daughter busy. She has found lots of activities to do inside, from pretending to cook, playing house, reading, coloring using the small table inside, etc. I believe my daughter will be able to use this playhouse for several more years. This was a gift for my three and one year old girls. This house is cute but way to small for the both of them, they can't even stretch out in it or put anything in there due to lack of space. My oldest likes to climb on top and my baby likes to ring the doorbell. Also my oldest was upset when her play dishes didn't fit in the sink. Other than that this house is boring and I don't see this house will get much use. This house is perfect for one small child.Later on I will invest in the larger one.

    I must say we LOVE this playhouse!! My husband and I bought this in 2007 for our 2-1/2yr old & 9 month old daughters! We STILL have it, and they STILL play with it! They are now 8 & 6yrs old and now have a 2yr old brother! It has been played with by all my nephews & nieces and neighborhood kids and friends! There is not a thing wrong with it and yes, it has always been an outside toy! I would, without a doubt, recommend this product to anyone! You can NOT go wrong! Thank You Step2 for helping make wonderful childhood memories for my children with this product!!!

    I got this for my 17 month old and my 3 year old niece to put between our backyards. I wasn't aware that there was no floor so it sits right on the grass. It is also smaller than I thought it would be but the kids are young and both fit in it just fine - but definetly made for toddler sized kids. The 'counter and sink' are a bit on the flimsy side. It was a bit of a time consuming assembly and definetly need 2 people for a few of the steops - use a power drill it will be MUCH more efficient. Overall, the kids LOVE it and both run right to it as soon as they go outside, and both kids love the phone. I would have given it a higher rating if there was a floor as many of the less expensive models have a floor. I'm glad we got it new as I have a 6 month old niece and a daughter on the way, this will surely get used for many years to come!

      The little play house has brought years of fun and entertainment for my children and now my grand children. They have enjoy playing in the kitchen and sitting on the porch.         We got this as a gift for my now 20 month old daughter. She does love it and likes to look out the window and sit on the porch bench. My only complaint would be that the inside is a bit small to compensate the outdoor porch. There isnt enough room inside if her and a friend wanted to bring in chairs to sit in there.
        If I were buying a playhouse, I would have liked something where there was a small table and some chairs inside. (Or at least room to put them in if you wanted)

        Our 2 year old granddaugter loves it, asks to go in it as soon as she arrives and has to be coaxed out of it, playing with all of the parts.

        However, putting it together was a problem because Step2 shows only a hand screwdriver is needed, but only provides tap-holes in some cases and never receiver holes, so you basically have to use a power screwdriver and hope you are rilling through tohe plastic correctly --- we left some screws out to complete the process. Didn't quite get the sides to mesh completely.

          this house took a long time to put together.the roof screws together, the first wind storm blew it into pieces and took it across the yard. the shelf inside the house just screws onto the wall. the first thing my two year old did was try to sit on shelf and broke it off wall.After my experience with this toy, i would never buy a step2 product again.

            this is a great size playhouse. very durable. i have had 6 year olds to adults in this playhouse with no issues. we live in colorado where there are extrememly high winds all the time. and it with stands the winds and freezing cold condtions every year!
