We bought this game after learning to play Mexican Train from some relatives on a short vacation. We had a great time playing it and could not wait to get our own set. They owned a separate set of double-twelve dominoes and picked up a neat little plastic hub [w/ sound] that came with trains - at a local flea market. We wanted to find a set that came with the dominoes, hub, trains, etc. I almost bought the set made by Cardinal, but decided against it because the tin was odd shaped and I wanted a tin that would fit all the tiles in a stacked position without swimming all over the place. We ended up going with this Puremco set, and came up a little disappointed. Mainly, because the hub pictured on the outside of the box is not the same hub that comes inside the box. The photo on the tin is an old version [...]. They no longer offer that hub. It's not a real big deal, but the advertised hub does look a lot nicer and contains tabs that serve an important function. The new one is a cheap version of it. It has no track showing and no little tabs sticking up to set your trains on. Therefore your trains fall off whenever you sound the whistle. After researching, the new hub is the exact same one that you see on the new version of dominoes they make with the numbers instead of the pips. We were also disappointed by the color selection on the pips. There are 5 dominoes that contain a red hue #1 (pink) #6, #9, #10, & #12. The larger numbered ones look a little too much alike and are easily confused. They should have had some green, gray, or black use in the set. BAD COLOR SELECTION

Enjoy the game very much and it's great for all ages. Only improvement would be if there was a place to set the train on the hub. They fall off when the whistle is sounded because of the vibration.

I like that there are several varieties of domino games to play & a convenient tin to keep it all in. The only minus is the train whistle is really long. Otherwise, great quality & would recommend it highly.
