My son got a powerwheels siverado jeep for his 2nd birthday. He is now 11. He and his brothers love it. My five year old is now the driver. You do have to follow the directions for charging the battery-especially in winter months when batteries are idle. We are now purchasing our 4th battery-but still have an older one that is six years old and still works for 1/2hr. They are expensive-and I wish they were cheaper- but in my opinion they are worth every penny. We keep one in the back of the jeep incase the other runs out-that way we are never stuck!

These batteries don't last! Take the time to find a good alternative battery. Just purchased a 12 Volt 18 Amp Hr SLR battery from --- and rewired my Son's Power Wheels Kawasaki ATV. He had a blast and rode it for an hour and 15 mins. Don't know what the total run time is, but because it's cold out side, (for Texas) it out-lasted him. If you are interested in long run times or speed do a google serch for modifying power wheels. All it takes is a 30 amp in line fuse, some wire and some bullet connecters to turn your Power Wheels vehicle into long running champ.

Fully charged battery offers about 45 minutes of riding tops. Purchased a 2nd one just so kids to enjoy for a little while longer. Very disappointed in the quality of this particular battery.

              I bought Kawasaki Ninja for my son 4 years ago and battery dies every winter.
              Most of us use Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries - 12AH is the norm. (Should last about 30% longer than the stock one)with Schumacher 600a charger for $20. The newer models auto-sense the correct voltage (6V or 12V), so they are safer.

                          Needed 2 batteries for 2 PowerWheels Jeeps that were being thrown out, old and faded, but still in working condition. Batteries are expensive, but definitely worth it for the kids enjoyment. They hold a decent charge for about an hours worth of fun. Unfortunately, they take too long to charge so I may need to invest in a quick charger. I haven't had any issues since I purchased them about 2 years ago. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product.

                                We received a Power Wheels Jeep as a hand-me-down from a neighbor. They told us it worked fine, just needed a new battery. We purchased the first battery and used it successfully for one week. We followed all the charging instructions. By the second week of use, it would only last about 5 minutes. Took it back to Toys R Us.[...] Second battery (again following charging instructions) lasted for only one full charge. Then absolutely NOTHING. Horrible product. A waste of [$]. A big tease for our boys. I am SHOCKED that Fisher Price would sell such a horrible product.

                                  The battery was purchased at least 5 years ago with the Silverado for my grandson, who outgrew it. Now, my next grandson is driving the Silverado, and I have to purchase a new battery. The original battery lasted well past 5 years. No problem with purchasing another. The battery lasts long on a single charge & lasts for many years. Well worth the money.
