I was thrilled when I saw this game for such a low price, and purchased it for my grandson. Unfortunately we ended up only playing it once. He loved the game but the pieces are so cheap and flimsy that they're very frustrating to set up. The sticks that go through the holes are very thin, flexible plastic. That makes it very difficult to get them in one hole and out the other side because they curve downward. And since the sticks curve all the marbles roll to that one place. Also the main body of the game falls apart easily when you're trying to put the sticks through. I'd pay a lot more to get the game with better quality.

I used to LOVE Kerplunk as a Child growing up in the 80's. I remember sitting at my playroom table, with one, or both of my parents, and waiting anxiously for the marbles to drop on their turn and not mine. I also seem to remember a MUCH BETTER quality product. I believe, the sticks were actually wood, like a smooth ended skewer, in an array of primary colors. The "tower & base" were of a more durable, heavier gauge plastic that didn't topple at the slightest bump. The sticks easily were placed, and didn't bend, or slide out the second you exhaled a deep breath, (which you'll be taking A LOT of while trying not to scream expletives at THIS model), since it takes longer to set up and try to get the sticks to stay put than it takes to play the game! By the time it's set up, and the sticks & marbles are barely in place, my kid is already done b/c it took so long to set up!

Good product at a good price but poor delivery choice Mattel should offer delivery by standard postal services, specialy for delivery in Canada. It cost me way more than the price of this game and have to pick it up on business hours at 20 miles of my home. USPS and Canada Post would have been cheaper (specialy on custom fees), give me more than 1 chance to pick it up at home (normaly 2 with a time schedule for the 2nd visit) and have more than 1 pickup place next to North Pole! Happy Holidays Santa's friend (but not a close neighbor!)

I got the game for my husband because he really wanted one. He has had so much fun with it. I am glad that i bought the product. My kids like to play it as well. It was a good price as well

This is a great classic game that I personally loved as a child. We had to buy a new one when my sister got older because we loved it so much and had lost too many pieces. I was so excited to get this for my daughter and so disappointed at how cheap it is now made. I would have gladly paid a bit more for better parts. The sticks are now so thin and flimsy that two can fit two in one hole, and if not they are constantly sliding out the other side making this game hard to play when sticks just slide out as you turn it. Also the old tube was one sturdy piece when put together. This version barely stays together for the game! The parts are so terrible but my daughter loves it so much that I plan to buy honey bee tree and try that one instead. Same game concept and much nicer sturdier parts! A vintage Kerplunk would be great too!

This game is as fun as it was when I was a kid. It's changed a bit though. The plastic container is softer resulting in a welcomed quieter "kerplunking" sound, and it's less likely to crack than the old version. The sticks are shorter, thinner, more flexible, and no longer pointed like the old ones which posed a serious eye injury hazard. Even though it's fun, unless you get it on sale, you may regret paying the higher price once you see the contents of the box.
