These are ok as beginner crayons. They do wash out easily out of most things. However, they are made of different material than regular crayons. These are much softer, and break easily. The biggest problem I had was the fact that these crayons would stain my kids' hands while they were coloring! I switched to twistable crayons which are harder and non washable, and love those much more.

When I got these crayons 2 of them were already broken, the tops were off. Then as we tried to color with them they broke in half. Thought these would be more sturdy since they are bigger Crayons, but I think my daughter would do just as well with the regular ones.
The only good thing about them is that they do wash off easily.
