My husband plays with tools all the time, so my daughter always wants Daddy's tools. She had a kitchen, but preferred Daddy's tools. We got her this set for her 3rd birthday. She plays with it every day. She'll ride her bike around, stop out of nowhere and go running for a screwdriver to "fix" her bike. She's had it for about 3 months and nothing has broken. We've had no trouble with the "lock" on the box or the plier handles, so I'm not sure if they've improved the design or not. She even jams the screwdriver into the holes of her plastic little tikes bed and tries to twist with no trouble. Extremely great value, quality toy tool set.

We bought this as a birthday gift for my 2 year old daughter. She loves the hammer, pliers, and the screws, which are just the right size/weight for her. However, we didn't even fool with the tray insert, because it came to us with a piece chipped off, and it didn't sit right. Also, the box and its lid are made of a plastic that is low-quality, and they don't quite fit each other well. They're easy enough to close, but even I have to use both hands to pull the lid back open. Overall, the tools are okay, but she now uses the box just as a step-stool, I've noticed. And there's a much more durable tool set at [...]for almost half the price!

My 2 yr old son wanted a screw driver like his dad, n I decided to buy this whole set since its so cheap. Its so real looking. I lovehow the measuring tape actually spins n the screws and the hammer and the toolbox. My son loves to carry at least one tool around with him.
The lock is a ill hard for him to unlatch on his own yet, but I'm sure he'll get there.

My son recieved this tool box as a birthday gift, had it for less than a day and the clip on the the lid of the tool box fell apart, the tools have all fallen apart as well. I know toys should be able to last longer than this! I vowed I would never buy another home depot toy again. Well he got this same tool box from a relative on Christmas, same thing happened again the box and tools fell apart with in a week. I had to just trash it. Please do not waste your money on home depot toys! The same thing happened when he got their chainsaw for Christmas! I assure you my son is not that rough with his toys for them to fall apart like that! TOTAL JUNK!!!

My daughter received this just after her 3rd birthday because she is desperate to help Daddy around the house. She loves it! The tools are light weight and easy to manage. My only complaint would be that there is only one small piece of "wood" to use her screws with. It'd be nice if it came with a few pieces she could actually use the tools on. Also the belt clip easily pops off the tape measure, but it's also very easy to pop back on. Overall, it is well worth the price and I would buy it again.

My son absolutely loves this little kit. He sit snd plays "tools" for quite a while. There are a lot of fun little pieces to this kit. Be sure to follow the age restrictions however. Some of the pieces could be very dangerous if swallowed.

Because these tools look real our two year old grandson was smitten when he opened the toolbox. He didn't want to open any other presents. The tools are sturdy and appear to not have any design problems for safety. What a great toy for a guy who likes to help his dad "fix" things.

Got this for a 2 year old for Christmas. She is in love with it. She literally sleeps with the pliers and takes them everywhere we go. She has had no issues opening or closing the toolbox as of yet, and it has plenty of room. Love this set because it came with all the tools she sees Daddy use. :)
