This product is not well thought out, way over priced, and will most likely not perform good enough to be a solution. U will likely have to purchase a different product to solve ur problem.

First I noticed the tape included was not long enought to stretch from end to end of each piece as the description would lead u to believe. The box says, "Full lenght double stick tape....". This oversight causes the ends of each piece to be easily lifted and gives the child the leverage necessary to remove the piece of foam from the fireplace. What good is it when a child 8 months can simply pull it off?

The amount of (inexpensive) foam padding provided is not sufficent to fully cover most normal sized fireplaces. If you live in an apartment with a small fireplace and a very smooth clean surface for the tape to stick to then this may work for you.

When my wife told me the price of this item my response was "for some !@#$ing foam that dosent fit and some worthless tape? Wait till i get to my laptop." Need i say more?

Save your husband the headache and do not put this product on his honey do list.

This product stayed secure on our fireplace hearth for 3+ years. When I took it off, all of the 2-sided tape came off of the stone hearth nicely. I was even able to pull the 2-sided tape off the guard, and pass the guard along to another Mommy to use.

i bought this for our fireplace downstairs, but the corner guards are only for 90-degree corners. if your fireplace surround is not a perfect sharp angle, the corners do not fit. i ended up buying another box of just the guards and cut them to fit the corners we have. we would have been better off just buying two boxes of the guards instead of the fireplace kit. but other than that, the cushions fade pretty well into our brick, and they were easy to cut to fit.

I love it. After my baby busted her mouth open on the mantle I had to have something. They were easy to apply and very soft. They also matched pretty good too.

I bought this product at my local store. It is difficult to keep attached to our fireplace and comes in all these pieces? The tape does not stick and my kids enjoy taking all of the pieces off and throwing them. i found another product that has one long front piece and attaches with velcro instead of tape. It works much better!

We got these foam pieces for our fireplace hearth, which is brick. My 7 month old son immediately scooted over to them and ripped them off with one hand. We have re-applied them several times, even once with the hot glue gun. All times he was able to get them off with just a yank. I haven't found another product like this, so we'll keep sticking these things back on, but they don't do the job. If you left them alone they would be great, definitely cushion-y enough.

We asked for these last Christmas since we needed three packages and it gets a little costly. We weren't sure how strong the adhesive would work, but we have been VERY pleased with them. We installed them on the entire top and bottom corners of our hearth when our son started to roll. He is now 14 months old and has NEVER pulled one off. He sometimes would pull on them when trying to stand up and they stayed perfectly. We have them sticking to tile. We couldn't be more pleased!

These fireplace cushions are good. They stick better than other brands I've tried. They lasted for about a year on my fireplace before the cats and my toddler started to chew on them. I got some replacements that don't apparently don't look quite as yummy because they've lasted for several weeks now. My toddler managed to pull a few off right after installation and I was able to put them right back on without the stick factor being depleted.

I was worried that these would stick too well and we'd never get them off. The first time our little fireball saw them, he pulled them off without much effort and now thinks it's funny to test his new teeth on them.

We have a small propain fireplace in our basement play/family room. I love this product BUT. I had to go purchase Foam tape because of the finish on our fireplace mantel. Other than that this works great. My son doesn't try to pull it off and he pulls everything apart.
