I got this for my daughter she was so exited because she loves creepy things.we got the lightbulb for it and then set it up. we smelt somthing burning.you didnt see smoke but it wasnt a good smell and some of the bugs we made were burnt and some were ok.it was pretty good though but i didnt like the bugs to be burnt

We have twins who are 21 and we bought this for them when they were 6 or so. They've outgrown it and now our oldest daughter has a 7 year old son. We found the oven packed away and last weekend used it with our grandson. What a blast. We even had goop left over from way back. We had to go to 3 stores before we finally found new goop and luckily we had all the molds since we did not find any molds to purchase.

The most frustrating toy I have bought in a long time. Nowhere on the box does it say "bulb not inculded." So, we get home, get the trays all filled up, place it in the oven and wait and wait and wait....nothing. We finally realize the light never came on. My husband takes it apart to find that there is not bulb! We found that info in the small print in the instructions, later. So we try a nightlight bulb, which is all we have, and it obviously does not work. So we try it in the regular oven. Wow, what a waste of [$]. Now my kid is up past bedtime, crying over a bug that wouldn't cook.

Got this for my grandson (age 6) for Christmas, and he can't get enough! He loves making the creatures, and I have a entire collection on my bathroom mirror to remind me of all the fun we've had with this set. It can get a little messy; but, nothing that putting old newspaper under the mold won't cure. Gotta go, trying to find more ink for Jonathan.

My husband and I loved Creepy Crawlers as kids and were thrilled to see them return. We gave this to our 9-year-old son for Christmas and he loves it! He can easily use this on his own and we don't worry about burns (like with the ovens we had as kids). The "bugs" cook in the time stated if you use a light bulb with the correct wattage. Yes, you have to purchase the light bulb separately, but most toys do not come with light bulbs, batteries, etc., so this was not an issue for us. However, the size of the goop bottles has shrunk significantly since the old days and it is easy to go through the goop quickly, so I recommend buying extra goop if you have the opportunity. Overall, it's a perfect toy for a rainy or dreary day and encourages imaginative play - a nice change from video games!

This product was terrible! First of all, it didn't say that the lightbulb was not included. Second of all, I waited over a half of an hour for these bugs to bake, and the bugs were still wet after all of that time. The filling for the molds makes a mess and it does not wash off easily. Please don't buy this!

Turned the liquid Goop into rubbery creatures within minutes. Safety lock built into oven to prevent burnt fingers a big plus. Slow process from warming to cooling. Can only cook one at a time.
