I really wanted to like this product, but as with other Melissa and Doug toys I have purchased, the paint chips off! I wish they would stain the wood like other wood toy manufacturers.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My son is almost two and loves this train. It is one of the few toys that is always out. He will sit and play with it longer than any other toy and keeps going back to it. It is great for hand/eye coordination, creativity and we are learning our colors with it. I love that it is a classic toy without batteries and noise. I definitely recommend this one.

I bought this train for my son right before his second birthday. He will soon be three and still enjoys this train. Although he still puts the parts everywhere but in the right place it is still one of his favorite toys. It has held up pretty well and still functions properly. It's also a great way to teach your child his/her shapes and colors. I highly recommend it.

Great classic toy. My son is almost 3 and is a train lover. He has fancy more high tech trains but he always goes back to this one. It does not offer a lot of excitement but it is fun for kids to stack the different colored blocks on it and pull it around. Good quality toy that will last.

My 3-year-old son loves trains. I saw this train on the internet and I had to get it for him. From the minute he opened the package he has not stopped playing with it. It is very colorful and it has interchangeable parts. I practice the different colors and shapes with him and it is very sturdy and well-made.
