My daughter got this as a birthday present... would have returned it otherwise! Poorly made, the battery compartment screw was stripped, hardest time to get open. Blurred picture to trace. I had to trace it for my daughter for her to atleast color it. Do not recommend this product to anyone.

I read the reviews for this toy and did not want to believe them because I thought my daughter would love it, but the previous reviews are right...this toy is JUNK. Upon opening it, I realized how poorly made it was. The disks are hard to fit into the lamp. The lamp is EXTREMELY dim and VERY blurry. My 4 1/2 year old daughter became frustrated and lost interested in the first 4 minutes. The next day when she picked it up, the lamp did not work. DO NOT waste your money!

my daughter got it as a christmas gift from family. never got it to turn on. after 2 hrs of changing out batteries and switching the two bulbs, it won't work.sis-in-law got it [...].i won't even let her get another one after reading the other posts!

I should have heeded the reviews, but it was too cute and I was too optimistic. Hard to trace and see, non-usable really. Too bad, my 4 year old was really excited. What a disappointment.

My 3 year old daughter received this for Christmas. She is very artsy and meticulous with her coloring so she was quite excited to get it. She loves the discs with all the different options of characters to draw. However, the light is dim and it is hard to see the projection in order to trace them. After one or two which she struggled seeing, she wanted me to do the tracing and she would color what I drew.

I bought this for my 6yr old and I popped the batteries in and it wouldn't turn on. After trying to get it to work for 1/2 hr I exchanged it for a new one. This time it did turn on but the image it projects is blurry even after we adjusted the image. I tried to clean the lens but it wasn't any better. My daughter was completely frustrated! I definitely do not recommend this product. :-(

I agree that it has to be used in a dim room but my kid's love it. Some people complained about the image being fuzzy but there is a focuser on the lamp that let's you make the image clear. My kid's can draw some of the pictures now without the lamp.
