My son loves it, well he likes to play on it to get him to sleep in it is a different story lol. But anyways, We bought this bed for 2 reasons one the storage underneath, and two it was high up so i figured my twins couldn't get in his bed. But I was wrong, one of my girls learned to climb the ladder before she could even walk. But all in all its a good bed and we haven't had any real problems with it:)

We have an off the charts very large 3yr. old boy 71lbs/ 110cm. and he is incredible strong as well as smart and curious..we needed a bed that could withstand his well punishment! ( ; LOL! Love this bed..at this age they all jump on the bed so we wanted to make sure no sharp corners on bed post and the resin this is made of is incredible sturdy. The bed is awesome and makes him feel safe in his big boy bed it has high sides so he can't fall out..and a cool later like his tree house he loves that. On the bottom has four doors ( 2 on each side ) and bottom is open ..one of our sons favorite things to do at this age is 'tunnel' so he just loves it as his secret place where he places pirates and with his dinosaurs. Nothing but great things to say on this and like I said my son really puts things to the test..but the one thing negative is it does come with resin boards you do not use a boxspring with this bed..the position of the boards leaves a bit of a large gap at the bottom of the bed if they stand on it. Simply fixed with a plyboard bought at the local [...] underneath mattress..would have been nice to have one resin or color coordinated that came with the bed..prior to purchasing I read a review that said the same thing and wanted to try the bed out with him before to see if the plywood is really necessary...uh...yeah...just get it very needed for this bed...but super happy and my son thinks his big bed is just in h is words 'AWESOME!'Hope this helps someone decide ( :

We purchased this bed for our 2 year old and he loves it! He plays underneath and has never had a problem with falling out with the high sides. He went from crib to this and worked perfectly!

It [...] was easy for me to assemble in 30-45 minutes -- even being 5 months pregnant. My 2 year old son loves his big boy bed. Very sturdy and he's even willing to sleep in it instead of my bed :-)

We love this bed for our 2 year old. Keeps him safely in bed, I don't worry he will fall out. Will not need a box spring. He loves playing under the bed as well. We like the brown and tan colors on it. Easy enough to put together. I was to excited to wait for my husband to get home, so I put it together quite easily. Only downfalls we have some across are that it takes some practice trying to change the sheets. I have had to get on the bed to change the sheets so far. Also, the bed is made of a rough feeling plastic. It will probably wear and soften with time, but is quite course at first and hurts your hands when changing the sheets. Overall we love this bed and highly recommend it. Would have given this best a 5 star rating if it weren't for the two above mentioned issues.

We bought this bed for our 17 month old to start to transition out of his crib. We will be having another baby in a few months, and he was already starting to climb out of his crib. We thought the steps might be a little tricky for him, but he climbed up and down the first time he tried. He loves the bed, and while we only use it for naptime now and transition play, we love it to!

Step2 has always made products that are easy for us to put together, that last under heavy use and abuse from our son when he was a baby and toddler. We also purchased the treehouse slide and the sandbox, and both are as wonderful as this bed!

[...] We bought it for out 2 year old. He loves the bed. Assembly instruction could have been better but if you take the time to read it before you put it together, you shall have little or no problems putting it together. I do think that they should have included a board or something to cover the cross supports for the bed.

Great bed and easily put together- my son just got it, he will be 3- this is his first bed from his crib. He was a little scared the first night but adjusted just fine. It is huge, I will say that, make sure you measure first! My son does not have a very large room but we were able to make it fit with existing furniture still with room to play, the storage underneath is great, he and and 7 year old sister love it!

It was easy to assemble by myself and my son (3 1/2) loves the area underneath. The handles were missing but STEP2 were great in sending me new ones ASAP.

We purchased this bed for our 3 year old daughter less than 2 years ago. My husband hated it from the time it was put together. I ordered it for the great storage underneath. I was very disappointed in the quality. I do realize it is plastic. However, I figured it would be heavy duty. This is just not the case. [...]The handles for the doors below would not stay on from the get go. The holes were to big. We figured once a nice mattress was used it would stabalize the bed from what seems like bending out of shape. No such luck. I would have preferred to spend my money on a quality wood captains bed instead.
