The product works great,it crawls best on smooth surface,deep shag carpet no.we bought 2 of theses, you cannot operate each one independantly,each remote will operate both spiders at same time.But if you are going to use one spider and have lots of smooth floors your kid should like it.I wish there were 2 separate channels on spider/remote were both of our boys could play with at same time and that would make it a true 5 star rating from me .

My son got this for his 7th birthday. He LOVES it and it DOES go well over carpet, concrete, almost any surface (not shag). It spins, it zooms, it walks in a fairly realistic manner. He named his fuzzy. When we first put the batteries in, it didn't work for a half an hour. I think the connection needed warming up or something. But he has used it constantly since then and with no problems. We love Fuzzy.

i bought this product for my 1 year old son and husband.i took it out the box i got black spider hair everywhere, it was awful. you have to be right on top of the spider for the remote to work. you have to use it on a totally flat surface or the legs don't move well.i had it out the box 10 minutes and i knew it had to go back.there is no way to scare people with it, because you have to be so close.

My four-year-old son loves this. He plays with it for hours. The legs do come off but reattach easily. The controls are easy to use and work from far away. Great toy, I'm glad I bought it.

My daughter loves bugs and animals. She wanted a real tranatula for her 5th bday. So when I found this I was extremely excited and knew she would love it. And she did! It moves really well on our thick carpet which was surprising. The only bad thing is the batteries went dead real quick. And one for the legs fell off but is easily put back on.
