Product Description

A group of terrorists calling themselves The Engineers have had enough of US military occupation all over the world and initiate a terror ultimatum called the Blacklist - a deadly countdown of escalating attacks on U.S. interests. When our nation is threatened, the president turns to one man and one man only: Sam Fisher. Armed with state-of-the-art technology, top-of-the-line-gadgets, deadly combat abilities and an elite team known as the 4th Echelon, Sam Fisher holds nothing back to get the job done through whatever means necessary to stop the Blacklist countdown before it reaches zero.

  • Splinter Cell Blacklist on Wii U: Splinter Cell Blacklist offers enhanced gameplay options on the WiiU. The Gamepad replicates Sam's OpSat, allowing the player to operate gadgets such as tri-rotor drones and the sticky cam through touch and motion based inputs.
The Wii U GamePad allows for faster reaction times, letting the player mark enemies, switch weapons, quick reload and choose gadgets to adapt to any situation, among other features.

  • Operate Without Restrictions: Sam is back in his tactical suit and goggles, and he's more lethal and agile than ever. Granted the freedom to do whatever it takes to stop the Blacklist, Sam flies from exotic locales to U.S. cities as he races against the clock to find out who's behind this devastating threat.

  • Own Your Play Style: Splinter Cell Blacklist builds on the stealth roots of the franchise, while exploring new directions to embrace the realms of action and adventure. Players can define their personal play styles and be rewarded for those choices.
    - Ghost players want to remain undetected.
    - Assault players rely on instincts and frontal blow to deal with a situation.
    - Panther players look for lethality in the most efficient and silent way.

  • Tools of the Trade: Take down The Engineers by unsing new gadgets such as the upgraded Snake Cam and Micro-trirotor Drone. Blacklist is also bringing back fan-favorites like the Sticky Shocker and the brutal, curved Karambit knife.
  • Build a New Echelon: Sam is building a whole new Echelon unit; his team, his way.
4th Echelon is a fully mobile ops unit with unlimited resources and cutting-edge technology aboard the repurposed stealth airliner, the Paladin.
  • Enjoy a Fully Integrated Experience: Sam and his team are aware of terrorist attacks in real time thanks to the Strategic Mission Interface (SMI). The SMI allows 4th Echelon to receive data about mission objectives while on the move.
  • Spies vs Mercs Returns: Spies vs. Mercs is back with an new take on asymmetrical gameplay. Players will be able to face off in teams of 4 all the while creating their very own Spy or Merc.
  • CO-OP: Co-Op is back and bigger than ever with 14 maps & 4 mission types. While you play you also earn in-game currency and unlock additional weapons or gadgets via specialized missions assigned by Grim, Briggs, Charlie and Kobin.

Comments about UbiSoft Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist for Nintendo Wii U:

I am thrilled with this game. I have loved Splinter Cell since the first game, but always felt it was so ambitious, that the hardware (of the time) was holding it back. Now with the power of the Wii U, the hardware has evolved to be able to really showcase what this series is about. Blacklist is a refresh of the series, bringing in Motion Capture animation, and a new voice actor to the character of Sam Fisher. While Michael Ironside is hailed as The Voice of Same (since the first game), and many SC fans miss him in Blacklist, I think Ubisoft did an amazing job with refreshing the series. The new voice actor (who also did all the motion capture for Sam Fisher (as well) really brings a new life to the character (and series). Ubi took it a step further, having different difficultly levels, different modes of playing (from lethal to non-lethal, and stealth to assault), making this series more accessible to new comers, and flexible to your playing style. This also adds a lot of replay value (to really challenge you). The challenges are not frustrating, yet motivating to really push through the game (even when at it's most difficult). The story line is better than a movie, the graphics are amazing, the side missions are great, and the daily and weekly UPlay challenges are fun – all giving you the opportunity to earn money for more gear, which provides an advantage in the storyline gameplay. The Wii U (and added features Ubi gave it) is the best version hands down. The use of the gamepad really immerses you in the character of Sam Fisher. Not only providing fast access to weapons and gadgets, but also integrating certain aspects of the game play, to add a better challenge (such as sniping enemies from a helicopter, to flying an armed UAV). Blacklist is a great new direction for the Splinter Cell series, and the Wii U's features (and graphical power), makes this the definitive version. A must for your Wii U library.
