We love Butt Paste and use it all of the time. When our 6 month old twins were in the NICU they used Butt Paste there, too. Works well and protects! Plus, our 5 year old likes it because it is the only time he can say, "butt". LOL:)

The thing to keep in mind is that every baby has different skin with different needs. This is the only cream I use with my oldest son, but in contrast, I never use this on his younger brother (he just doesn't get the same results). But when I use this on my two year old, it's almost like magic. Even the worst of rashes are almost completely gone with just one application. It's really remarkable. My only complaint: it stains fabrics. Just be careful not to get any cream on a white fabric, and it's fantastic!

This is perfect!! I am a Pediatric Nurse and have always recommended this product to patients and have always heard the best feed back about how well it worked. I am now a mom and have seen first hand with my daughter how well it really works! Even use it with every diaper change just as a barrier to protect and it will keep them from getting a diaper rash! It's great!!

used this for my daughter who is now 4. It still works when she occassionally gets red from not wipping good. I give this at every baby shower now!

I found this after my daughter come home from the NICU, Neonatal intensive care unit, with a severe diaper rash. They make a diaper rash cream in the hospitals that everyone swears by called "Magic butt paste" and this stuff is ten times better than that even. I used it for her when ever needed and then when I had my son he was also in NICU and got diaper rash even worse than my daughter had. He was actually bleeding where skin was gone. The hospital was using the magic butt paste and it was not helping, so I asked the doctor if I could bring this from home and try it since it had worked so good for my daughter. The doctor allowed it and my son was totally healed in two days. The medical staff could not believe how well this sruff worked. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone with children. I am a home care nurse also and have used it on my patients that have incontience issues to prevent skin breakdown, or even treat red areas when the skin is starting to break down. This stuff is AWESOME!! It costs a little more than the other products available, but it is money well spent because you use very little and it heals the problem quickly. As a first time mom, any irritation that my little one was experiencing, broke my heart, but the worst was his tushy. He needs to be on nutramigen and once we switched him to that, his stomach problems cleared up and his butt problems began. We tried everything, and I mean everything. We changed (and still do) his diaper the second he is done pooping, stopped using wipes, just water wet clothes, and all creams available (desitin, both traditional and creamy), aquaphor, A&D, Sensi-Care, along with other various products and RX's. On one of our last visits to the Dr, he recommended we try Butt paste, and FINALLY, something cleared up his rash (which was all over his tush and sometimes bled). Some reviewers have complained about the smell, however, my husband and I don't find it to be a problem at all, and frankly, anything that made my little man's butt better could smell however it needed to to get the job done. It is certainly most cost effective to buy in the jumbo jar, however, that is tough to take in the diaper bag sometimes. I only wish I could find some coupons online because it can get costly since we use it for every single diaper change. Overall, I think it is a great product and would recommend trying it in the small tubes to see if it works for your little ones, and if not, what have you lost?

I have used this product every day since my son was born almost two years ago, and he has never had diaper rash. I would swear by this stuff. I would never use anything else, and I buy it for all of my new mommy friends.

I got this as a shower gift, and thought it had a cool name (ha ha, Butt Paste!). I had hoped it would work, but it just didn't. While I liked the texture (smooth, cream, glides on), it just doesn't provide coverage needed to allow a diaper rash to heal. The coverage doesn't last, therefore doesn't protect my son's little bum between changes. Desitin (Original, in the purple tube) and Aveeno are MUCH better! Those pastes work faster and protect longer!

My daughter had a VERY bad rash and we tried every product on the market and it took forever to heal. I finally purchased this because of the name not thinking it would work for her next rash. Well I am THRILLED to have found something that worked overnight! I wish I had bought the large tub of it, but will be off to the store shortly to get some!

This would be okay for preventative, but not for treating. When you look for a rash cream, it is the ZINC OXIDE that clears up the rash. Most of the creams/pastes have between 7 and 13% Zinc oxide. The ORIGINAL DESITIN (purple label) (not creamy/blue label) has 40%. If your baby has a little reddness, that will clear it up within hours. I used Butt Paste for a few days and it didn't even completely clear up a minor rash.
