Pool safety tips to prevent injuries in this pool: Drowning Risk - Children are at high risk of drowning. Keep children in direct sight and stay close whenever they are in OR near this pool. Fencing Requirements - Some cities and towns require pools like these to have a fence of a certain height and strength around it. Check your city ordinances for fencing requirements before installing this pool. Pool Cover Danger - Never allow anyone in the pool when a cover is on it. You can become entrapped or entangled in the cover and suffocate. Do not stand on covered pool. No Diving - Never allow anyone to dive off the ladder or side of the pool. They can break their neck. Chemical Burns - Excessive or concentrated chemicals can cause burn injuries to users. Follow manufacturers instructions when adding chemicals to the pool. Sanitation - Test water regularly to ensure proper chemical balance and sanitary conditions. Keep safety equipment nearby - Have the following safety equipment near the pool: an approved ring buoy with reinforced rope; first aid kit; safety rescue pole, emergency procedures for water injuries; phone numbers of emergency rescue services. Keep pets away - Don't let pets swim in this pool. Their claws and teeth can puncture the pool.

I ordered this pool for our grand-daughter's 1st birthday party during the Labor Day weekend. I thought it was the cutest thing with the water coming out the spout and all, and the kids loved it even more. They had a ball playing in this pool. They were sliding and bouncing from its tail and into the water. All the children were under the age of 5 and there was no problem with the pool at all.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This whale pool is definitley cute enough, but the tail flops over too much making the pool space much smaller than shown. It would have been a better design to just make the tail stand up straight. I suppose they designed it that way for some sun protection, but it's too much. My daughter hardly had enough room to move around because of the tail. It got holes in it pretty quickly, too.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought this pool for my son (2 years old) and i filled the pool. I suddenly noticed that the water was bubbling, there was a small pin hole in the side. Not realizing that anything major would happen i left the pool. The next day i went to empty the pool and refill it with clean water and i could not lift it. The water had gotten inside the whale part and i can not get the water out of it. i even tried to deflate the pool. Once the water gets inside forget it.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought this last year as the first pool for my daughter who was then one. It was amazing! This is actually bigger than it looks. I'd join my baby and lean against the tail. Then her dad came home and joined us. We were able to fit two teens and three toddlers in there. It was also very sturdy and the convenieny plug in the bottom made it easy to empty. Sadly though, the whale pool died after a horrific lawnmower encounter and we haven't been able to find another one to replace it. My husband and I even used to throw in a gallon of hot water and go in after work to relax.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
