My Son is 4 months old and when he was teething at 2 months and his first 2 teeth popped through at 3 months this worked wonders. We got the Day and night kind and as soon as we put it on it works almost instantly. We like the night time one better cause its got more pain reliever added to it but the day works just as good. It smells good and probably tastes good to cause its cherry flavored. The only think I don't like is it makes my son drool even more.

My daughter starting teething early at 3 months and was miserable. She was drooling excessively and it was causing her to spit up a bit more since she was swallowing so much saliva. My DR warned me to be careful using too much of this product since it could numb her throat leaving her more susceptible to choking on her spit. You have to administer a minute amount and only on the gums, avoiding the tongue and lip whatsoever, which is next to impossible unless your baby is asleep (and then you wouldn't need this) I have since stopped using it and rely on Hylands teething tabs which are natural and calm her instantly. I tried using the orajel on my 6 year old when her molar was coming in and she HATED it. She said it tasted horrible and burned but I think she didn't know how to describe the tingly, numbing feeling. So the orajel is getting trashed.

my son is five months old and already teething. someone suggested the baby orajel, and it works wonders! he's not as fussy as he's been the past few weeks, and you can tell it helps with the pain.

This product definitely helps numb the soar gums from teething; however, the taste is horrible. A much better product is Little Teethers Oral Pain Relief Gel which numbs the same but without the gross taste.

Both my children have had horrendous teething pain. Baby Orajel (note they have a day and a night version) are quite simply incredible. As the kids had tried everything without the required pain relief I started testing them on myself. Believe me--this is the only one that numbs the pain. The rest don't have the power nor the duration that this does. It tastes fine, but your kids won't lick it off your fingers like the other brands, as it isn't simply candy with no effect! We live by this stuff--and my friends in the UK ask us to bring some over for them each time, as they don't sell it here. Note, it is also sold in a pack with 1 tube of day and 1 tube of night. Slightly more economical. Worth far more than it's weight in gold!
