I used this for my kids' diaper rash. It works very well. Their diaper rash was significantly improved overnight and gone within a couple of days. There were only a couple of drawbacks for me: the smell (like bug spray mixed with baby powder & arsenic), and the fact that it doesn't wipe off as easily as I'd like. but other than that, this stuff gets the job done.

i LOVE this diaper cream! of all the kinds out there, it has the highest concentration of zinc oxide in it, which is the medicinal ingredient. other brands and even the creamy formulation of desitin, don't have enough zinc oxide in them and haven't been effective in healing rashes for any of my kids. they may be good prevention, but this is the only thing i've found that prevents AND heals! great stuff! buy the big tub for the changing table and a tube for the diaper bag so you'll always have it on hand!

I have a baby with a g-tube and this works great for keeping it from getting red to! Makes baby much happier

My son had a lot of ear infections and was on antibiotics a lot when he was little. It seemed like every time he was on antibiotics he got horrible diaper rash. We tried everything. Finally after taking him to the DR for the diaper rash, they suggested that we find something with a lot of zinc oxide in it. And we found this Destin cream. It has worked great. We also make sure to let his bottom dry completely after bath time (we put the blow dryer on it on very LOW heat and low speed) and after he has a bad bowl movement and I clean it up, I use Viva Paper towels (they are like cloth) to dry his bottom again before applying the ointment. I hope this review helps. I know how bad diaper rash can be and I do recommend this cream.

Great Stuff really. Used them all and this is the one that we bought over and over. Great Value, Did the job, prevented and healed. The only time we didn't use it was if the rash was severe and painful.
When that happend we used Lansinoh Nipple cream. It healed immediatly and soothed the pain very quickly. So I am exiceted to try the Lansinoh Diaper Ointment.
It is very likely I will buy this product again and I do recommend it. And since the price is good it's great for every day use and prevention.

My daughter had a horrible rash when she was only a few weeks old because we didn't know how sensitive her skin was going to be and we were using whatever diapers we had. We tried everything to get rid of it, we even bought one that was $15 for a small tube. Some them would work but slow. So they are fine for small diaper rashes. But I needed something that would clear it up FAST. This stuff is amazing! I was in shock at how well it worked so fast. Within 12hours, her rash that covered her whole butt and inner thighs and was to the point of bleeding was completely gone! I was so happy that this product worked so well. And it has more zinc then any other product I've seen on the market, that's why it works faster then others. There was a crazy good sale on it last week so I stocked up and bought 4 jars. I also use it every night on her for bedtime because it is nice and thick and keeps a shell better than any others so that it keeps everything off of her throughout the night, nicely. I will always have this in stock at my house! Highly Recommended!!

I used this on both my children, and will with the next, as well. Diaper rash improves,if not disappears, overnight. DON'T GET IT ON YOUR CLOTHES, the stuff WILL NOT wash out completely. The only real drawback is that if the diaper rash is severe (raw skin, or worse, bleeding), it can burn, in which case, just use petroleum (Vaseline) until it's healed. It doesn't work as fast, but if your baby's skin is raw, you don't want to put something that will irritate the sore area on there.

This product worked with an hour with the first use. Leah started to have diaper rash on a Tuesday and I was originally using Desitin with only 13% zinc-oxide and it was working very slow. The rash was getting better but she still had the rash on Saturday. I decided to get this one with 40% zinc-oxide. I put it on at 6:30pm and at 7:30 the redness and burning was reduced by 60%. I could not believe how fast. My DR. even gave a prescription for a medicine for her that didn't even work as fast. Yes, she still has the rash but its much more under control with this ointment.
