This bathtub is the only one i use. Sturdy, easy to clean, safe, comfortable. My daughter loves this and it can grow with her. just buy and put a baby bath sponge mat for baby to lay on when they are alot smaller and this is the perfect tub. i clean mine with dawn dish soap and dry it.

Yes the bath tub is big but it is the best one out there. When I had my first we had one of those tubs with the mesh lining, I hated it I did not feel that my son was secure. With my second we used this. It was nice to have both hands t wash her with. So with my third we are diff using this tub again. I was a first time mom at one time too and I had to have the best of everything, but with the second you learn what is pratical and what is not.

This tub is wayyyy too big for newborns. My little guy had no support and kept sliding around. So, we had to put a towel down but the towels are a pain to use. Plus its just a large tub in general, its really unnecessary.

I commented already that this tub is way to big for a newborn. Obviously we used the tub and didn't think to keep the cardboard strip that was its "packaging" so we could not return it to babies r us. So I emailed the company thinking they stand behind their products. All they did was make excuses and talk their way out of accepting a return for refund. Now they say they won't take it back after its been used for hygiene reasons. I've been in retail for years. If a customer is unhappy with a product the company takes it back for a refund. They don't always expect to resell it. Many times its a write off. Anyways, just be sure this is the tub you want for sure.

My daughter was 7 lbs, 8 oz, when she was born. I bathed her in this after her button came off and used it until she was more like a toddler (18 months) and could sit in the big tub and play. When she was very little, I put a washcloth under and over her and only a little water to cover her behind. It was great to have only one piece, nothing that could snap off, and no fabric or sponges to worry about molding.

I wanted this tub 9 1/2 years ago but it wasn't available locally and I was leary of the size. I used a couple different things with my first three babies and they were just okay. With my fourth, she wiggles a lot and didn't like baths. UNTIL, I got this one! What a difference. She loved it and kicked for the longest. Wish I had this one years ago! You won't regret your purchase. As for the size, you're going to have something sitting around regardless so size really doesn't make a difference. Just set it out of the shower/tub when you need to. Our hospital uses this tub for the newborn baths as well. They just sit very securely in it. Love this tub!!

This bath is way too big for my newborn baby. It makes it difficult to bath her. We put a towel under her to prevent her slipping but the tub is just too big. It's nice that the tub can last so long but the infant side could be modified by means of an adjustable stopper or a non-slip pad or something of the sort.

My cousin got me this bath tub.(and I am so glad she did) She used and loved this tub with her two babies. Being a new mom I would not have realized what a difference it is from the typical tub. I feel confidant washing my newborn by myself. The nub in the middle gives you the ability to use your hands to actually wash your baby. Unlike other baths were its a two person job to keep them from sliding down and wash them off. The only thing is that the bath is fairly large for storing. But I would not even change that because it makes the bath usable for longer with a growing little one. Definitely recommend.

I can't comment on the functionality of this tub, as I have not used it. What I will say, though, is that it is way too big. I selected this item for my registry based on the reviews online, but when I saw it in the store, I immediately decided to remove it due to its size. If you don't have a lot of room, I'd strongly suggest going for something else...
