After reading the reviews of this pump, I was very skeptical about buying it but I've never really liked my swing and for the price, I thought I'd give this a shot and hope that it was better than some of the reviews made it sound. I'm so glad I took a chance because I LOVE this pump. It does a terrific job - even better than the hospital grade pump that I rented which was extremely surprising to me. It's nothing for me to get 2 oz in 5 minutes (which is pretty impressive for me considering previous attempts). This pump is compact and easy to use and I would recommend it to anyone who needed to pump occasionally. I'm a stay at home mom and really only need to pump when we go out without the girls. I wouldn't recommend this pump for a working mom who needs to pump a lot - I would imagine it would just get too tiring - but for someone like me it's perfect.I ran into the same problem that a lot of the reviewers have with loss of suction and figured out what the problem is. After my first time using the pump, it started losing suction and I was sure that I had made a mistake and that all of the bad reviews were right. After taking off the gasket in the handle, though, I found the problem. There are two little raised bars on the plastic pump handle. These have to be aligned perfectly with the raised parts on the gasket or it will lose suction. If the handle is turned while pumping, the gasket can become skewed and suction can decrease. Sometimes, it's no big deal and I just keep pumping. (Full strength on this baby is pretty powerful and less than 100% isn't always a bad thing.) Other times when the loss of suction is really bad I just stop, pop off the gasket, realign it and go right back to pumping in just a few seconds.I'm so glad that I purchased this pump and wish I would've had it when my oldest daughter was a baby!

I bought this pump when I was out of town and didn't have my Avent manula pump with me and was disappointed with it. The seal seems to be better on the Avent so its able to get a stronger pull to help get the milk out. I ended up getting a the Medela In Style and I love that pump, so I use the accessories from this one with the electric. If sticking with a hand pump I'd definately go for the Avent. Advantages to this pump over the Avent is that you can use the adaptor to the Playtex drop in milk storage set and pump directly into the drop ins and with the Avent pump you can't.

This is great for a quick pump when you don't want to get hooked up to the cords! It's great for on the go, quick pump in the car! Super easy to use, lightweight and convenient!! Often I feel like I get a better pump out of this then my Medela Freestyle!!
Easy to use

This hand pump is great for a quick pump of milk. I use it to relieve engorgement and/or when baby only feeds off one side. Easy to use, works efficiently, and perfect for when I dont want to hassle with hooking up to the electric pump.
It works really well. Love it.

Ladies please spend the extra money on a electric pump, I mean this pump works but it's way way better a electronic one that way you don't get tired and you can do both at the same time and not leak while pumping one. This is like for a back up plan. Works fine but better on a electronic one.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I use this for late night pumping sessions when little one does not empty breast or when he only takes one side. It beats having to connect to an electric one.

Does what it says.
Great for on-the-go relief
I keep this pump in my diaper bag and use it while on outings. If I take a bottle of milk with me then I pump while dad feeds baby the bottle. It works great and helps relieve me if I begin to get engorged. 10 years ago this was all I had while breastfeeding my first daughter and it worked out fine. Now I have the Medela Pump in Style advanced as well and this hand pump is great for on the go use as an electric pump is a lot to lug around. It has a two pump system meaning you use one side to start let down and the other to pump.
Good for what it is

It's a good product. I got one to keep in my diaper bag or purse incase baby isn't hungry while we are out, or incase I am out without baby and there's no outlet to use my electric pump. I wouldn't use it for everyday pumping, but it's good to have as a spare.

Needed while my electric pump was not working. Actually works better than my electric it seems
