It's good for little hands, not much to say about a magnet. My daughter likes'em, Can't say that we have been able to build something like the picture listed but she uses her imagination, she is 19 months old. Can't see a older child playing for long amounts of time with it. The magnetic pull could be a little bit stronger to build them upward.

my two year old got these for christmas and he loves them, so does my six and four year old. I would by the bigger set next time to have more building options.

I bought this for my 18 month old nephew and out of everything he got for Christmas, this was his favorite! The large pieces made them easy to grip and the magnetic ends stuck together easily. Small builders can get frustrated when the pieces don't fit quite right and you don't have to worry about that with this set. The only drawback is the number of pieces. In order to make something really cool, you probably need two or three sets so make sure you buy two.

I bought this set for my 1 1/2 year-old nephew for Christmas. Once he opened this, he wasn't interested in any other gifts. The pieces were just the right size. I wish I had bought more sets.

My toddler has hours of fun with these magnetic balls and sticks! I also have 10 month old twins that stay entertained by them. You can connect them to anything metal so add some soup cans to the mix and you can get a great bridge built!

My daughter loves this toy, and it's a great learning peice. Nearly better than LEGO's I would venture to say. We make shapes (and a lot of strait lines) with the pieces and she understands that the triangles work better than other shapes, good start for my little engineer. The peices don't even hurt that much when you step on them in the dark!

My two boys both like this toy. They are 2 and 4 years old. The toy is big enough that the two year old can't swallow it and doesn't want to put it into his mouth. The four year old is old enough to be creative with it. Since the pieces are magnetic, he and his dad figured out places that you could attach the pieces to make interesting structures. The only draw back is the ability for them to be thrown easily. However, most toys can be potential missiles. This is an excellent toy. We received it as a gift. I liked it so much I bought a set for another child's gift after we got it.
