Great for all ages & inspires creativity! We had another set with much smaller pieces-- that just wasn't safe with the addition of our younger kids; so we've hidden them in the closet for years. After reading other reviews of this as a highly recommended learning toy- the purchase was a no brainer knowing all the kids would enjoy it. Cons? Wish it was more affodrable so I could buy even more & it would be nice if the magnets knew how to put themselves away. Otherwise-- I love this purchase!.

As other people mentioned if the structure is built too tall or not well supported it falls apart. I agree with the other reviewer, this set is the smallest one you'll want to get especially if older children will be playing with them.

My 22 month old, 5 yr. old and 7 yr. old love playing with them. The 22 month old likes connecting the sticks together to form a long line on the floor or "fishing" for the balls with a stick.

It's a great toy for homes with a large age gap between the children. They are baby safe but fun and educational. The balls will attract to either end of the sticks but the sticks have positive and negative poles so the kids learn by trial and error how to connect them which introduces repeling and attracting. It's also a great way to work with geometry (pyramids, prisms, etc.)

I enjoy building blocks with my son, so I thought these would be a great idea! The only problem is that they don't hold together very well. Whenever we try to play with them in the air they fall apart. They are still a neat concept but definitely need to be improved and the magnets need made to be stronger!

At first glance the kids love the primary colors and the attraction of the magnets. But if they aren't into building and creating things on their own this will seem like a non useful toy. Playing with the children though it is great for all ages. We sort them by color, shape etc. We create patterns and the kids finish them. We find different ways to put them together. We use the red and green balls for red light green light, etc. There are so many uses outside of what it's created for that this is an awesome addition to any playroom.
The only reason I gave it four out of five stars is because the kids see balls and like to throw them. We have boring linoleum in our kitchen and a couple of the balls have kind of cracked when they've been thrown on the ground. Also, the magnets are not as strong as I would have liked them to be. But all in all great entertainment for 9 months and up!

We bought it for our 2 year old twins for Christmas,and they have lots of fun with them, our 5 year old also enjoys playing with them. I'm very glad we got the 72 piece the smaller pieces would not be enough.

I have twin toddlers that love playing with this set. It keeps them entertained for quite awhile and they love to connect the magnets to one another. Like other readers mentioned the magnets are not that strong if your building a really tall or complicated structure. But for little ones to just play around and build smaller structures they are really great.

Great product. We have the smaller ones as well for my nine year old, he loves them. My 1 year old loved playing with them, but would put the balls in her mouth-so we always had to take them all out when she played with them. Now she has her own set-and the balls are are too big for her to put in her mouth.
