With the Fisher-Price Rainforest Open-Top Cradle Swing, your baby can take a relaxing swing (side-to-side or front-to-back) as he or she watches plush rainforest friends in the mobile above play peek-a-boo among the leaves. While your baby reclines in comfort, one of 12 different songs plays along with soothing nature sounds. And when your baby's trip to the rainforest is over, the mobile is easily removed. This cradle swing features six soothing swing speeds, a plug-in option that can save money on batteries, a two-position reclining seat, a three-point restraint and an easily foldable design for storage.

We got this as a gift for our son and from the first "swing" till he was almost 10 months old this was used several times a week. When he was small, he really enjoyed the bright colors and mobile, as well as the soft movement and music and nature sounds. However when he got a little bigger and could sit up he was more interested in batting at the mobile and sometime would get lopsided in the swing. Also, our son was a kicker from the start and when he could, he would get his little feet against the tray and push as hard as he could. Sometimes the latch would release and the tray would pop up but he was always buckled in. (He was just getting his leg presses in!) The greatest feature (for mom & dad's pocket book)is the plug in! NO MORE BATTERIES! How great is that? Very easy to clean, put together and even built well enough for a 2 1/2 year old cousin to play in! There were some things that could be better like the seat itself... it's not as cozy and padded like some of the other swings and sometimes (at least on ours) the seat would shift a little off center so our son would lay more on the sides than in the middle. But like everything else you have to keep an eye on your little ones in any kind of swing or bouncy seat. Over all this was a really great purchase and we got lots of use out of it... now it's in storage for the next baby... :)

This swing is nothing but a headache. I'm now on number 6... The first 4 when you would turn the seat so it would swing front to back, the seat was severly lop sided. Then number 5 worked for only 2 weeks and the motor quit when my son was only 10 pounds. So far number 6 is working, but it's only been a couple weeks. My son absolutely loves his swing and I have the entire rainforest theme collection, but it's almost too much of a hassle. Definitely buy the insurance, in my case it has been well worth the money spent. The music is great though, even I enjoy it. And the mobile caught his eye at 3 weeks, the bright colors are amazing. Also, we had to end up taking the tray off the swing. It's in a horrible location! The BEST thing about this swing is the feature that allows you to plug it into the wall! All in all, I would not recommend this swing unless you want an extra headache.

    We got this swing as a baby shower gift almost 5 years ago when I was pregnant with our first daughter. It was easy to assemble, and was perfect for her (considering she was 9lbs 12oz at birth), we used this quite awhile. Well, our second daughter will be here by the end of the week and we got it out today and put it together. Still looks brand new, still works and everything. Pretty excited we don't have to spend money on another one :)

    I really liked the openness of this swing and the mobile. It's leg span is not as big as some others so its a little more compact.
    I didn't like the seat.... it just seemed to small and crampy for my 3 1/2 month old. i returned it

      We purchased this swing for our granddaughter after 4weeks of using it stopped workin so we returned it and got another. Well after two months the music stopped working and now the swing the Baby only weighs 15lbs so it's not because of being to heavy! This swing is a piece of junk so much for buying a nice swing!

        At first my son hated to swing but after he was a few weeks old this is where he took all of his naps. He loves to sit and listen to the music and watch the mobile move around. He enjoys talking to the animals...Hes now 16lbs and the swing is still going strong after hours of use each day.

          This is the BEST swing you'll ever purchase! I have 2 of these Fisher Price Rainforest Open-Top Cradle Swings and absolutely love them - they are lifesavors! With twins, it defintely helps with soothing and feeding them when I am by myself. The twins love the music and colorful mobile. Great quality! One of the best items I received as a gift by far!

          I had problems with the website continually kicking me out, so I had to call to make the purchase.               So far, my daughter loves this Rainforest swing! My husband put it together with no problem. I love that it can be plugged into the wall, instead of operating on batteries. The music is very cute and tolerable. The design is very colorful, and perfect for a boy or a girl! Hopefully my lil girl gets many hours of enjoyment in this swing!!

                It took about 6 weeks for my baby to decide she liked the swinging motion and I'm super glad she did! She loves to watch the mobile and eventually falls asleep, napping for about 2-3 hours. She likes the music, I've only used the sleepy time setting which makes me want to nod off too! My daughter hates the tray over her feet so I leave it up while she swings, it has never fallen down and we use it about once or twice a day. It would be nice if the tray was removable. I like how deep and padded the seat is, also the plush neck support really helps keep baby's head from flopping. I would recommend this product, no issues here.

                  Excellent swing! I easily used this swing for the newborn infants and even for my one year old infants. The snap buckle extends very long for older and chunky babies, unlike the very popular bulky ones. I had one of those and couldnt even buckle in a 6 month old. This swing is very spacious and was perfect for nap time, soothing, and even feeding time, as it will sit almost straight up and lay back. Recommend this to everyone!

                    I got this swing when I was pregnant with my son (who is now 4 years old) and it still works! I used it for my son then passed it on to my cousins baby, then my mom got pregnant and she used it and now it is in the church nursery at my grandparents church and still works great! Just found out I am pregnant again and will be looking into another swing by fisher price! I loved that I could change the direction of the chair so that he could swing in different directions!
