My son suffers from high functioning autism. I purchased this CD player to offer him a way to calm down. This product is perfect because it only plays CDs, no radio, so I have control over what he listens to. I love that it doesn't play DVDs, or games that are so addictive to these kids. So it's back to the basics, plain and simple music. It arrived promptly and in perfect condition. My son liked it a lot, it's colorful, it's easy to use, and has been working well so far. He puts his favorite music and caliming nature sounds. I purchased a CD case with space for the CD player and about 20 CDs at another store, but it was hard to find.

We bought 3 Coby radio/cd players last Christmas. Within 6 months, the cd players suddenly stopped working. These were taken care of very well and no abuse. The cds spin, but will not play.

Should have read more reviews before buying anything Coby. I will never get a Coby product again.

I bought this CD player to finally use a gift card my son received for Christmas. We bought it online. He was really anxious waiting for it to arrive. When it finally did arrive, he excitedly opened the packaging. Well, he played with his CD player for hours. In fact, he still plays with it every chance he gets. It plays really well. It does eat through batteries, but that is common for most electronics. He has even dropped it already a couple of times and it still plays. I would definitely recommend this product to others.
