Received this as a gift and luckily had no reason to use it the first year. Just opened it and used it for four days when I noticed no steam was coming out and what appeared to be smoke coming out the bottom. Called the company and of course we are past the one year warranty so they won't help us. It's brand spanking new, box and all. Four days!! So frustrated!

Great cool mist humidifier. Very quiet and works well. Haven't had any problems with leaking. I like that you can turn the mist so it isn't just spraying in one spot. Great purchase.

I received this as a baby shower gift. It gave out within one year. None of the parts appear to be broken or missing. It just stopped putting out steam. Additionally, it frequently leaked water and could only be used on top of a towel to avoid damage to furniture.

We've been using this humidfier nearly every night since November (three months). It works well. It's relatively quiet. It's simple to use. It's easy to clean. I dry it out every day to prevent mold or slime developing and creating bigger problems than the humidifier is meant to solve. About the only con is that it can be tricky to fill, but that hasn't been a huge problem.

this is my second crane cool mist the first one (duck) I dropped and broke. :( I bought the penguin and love it just as much. You can move the head to blow mist where needed. My son has very bad allergies I use all night and during naps on med/high and only have to fill it up every couple of days. It is pretty quiet with what little noise it does make is soothing. Defiantly worth every penny!!

Very difficult, almost impossible, to clean. After couple weeks of using fan got loud, but was still bearable as white noise. After another cleaning attempt the noise got reaaaly loud, especially since we use it night in baby's bedroom... Looking for a new one, definitely not this brand

I bought this a few years ago because I wanted something for the summer that would put out cool mist. This has worked perfectly for me. No leaks, no mold inside the tank, takes about a day and a half to empty each time, depending on level of output I have set.

It does need to be cleaned (I use a little vinegar:water solution) just like any humidifier does or else it gets mineral deposits. That is how all brands and types are though, I have yet to own one that doesn't require maintenance.

I don't think it's hard to fill at all. You take the tank off, unscrew the cap. That's all there is to it.

Highly recommended.

I really wanted this humidifier to work. After using another product for most of the winter, I was unable to find a replacement filter so I bought this adorable penguin model. It worked when we set it up and I could see the mist coming out of the penguin's mouth. By morning, the water level only barely changed, and that was due to a leak that started where the tank meets the base. I took the tank off to investigate, and the mist was working, but it wouldn't rise high enough to come out of the mouth of the penguin, even when I adjusted the settings. I had to return it. Quite a disappointment...

We had to dump out and wipe down and dry out the humidifier every day for the 3 winters we used it. I've used a humidifier every winter my whole life due to constant bloody noses and never had as bad of a mold issue as I did with this one. I live in the Northeast and only use the humidifier in the winter time so the damp air wasn't the issue.

This humidifier was bought for me as a baby shower gift. Although it is more asthetically pleasing than traditional humidifiers, I am glad that it was a gift and not a purchase. The functional design of it leaves much to be desired. You have to take the whole thing apart to refill it, which is NOT Mommy-friendly considering most moms only need a humidifier when they've already got their hands full with a sick infant. So at 3am when you're already tired and frustrated, this humidifier is the LAST thing you'll want to fight with. It's lucky it didn't find itself in pieces in my back yard.
