I purchased this Fisher Price Medical Kit in the special Toys R us Pink version for my grandaughter's 3rd birthday and her reaction was worth a million bucks! She's played with it non-stop and looks so adorable wearing the pink stethoscope around her neck while checking everyone's ears and giving injections. She also liked the eye and body charts that are included. Some of the "instruments" are small (i.e. blood pressure cuff and bandaid) if giving check-ups to adult family members but fine for dolls and other children. The plastic case is a bit difficult for her to open, but she'll get the hang of it. I think it is a good value for the price and I highly recommend it for little girls in the 3-4 age group.

The items included in the kit are nice. The only problem I have is with the box. It's too small. Everything must be put exactly in place or it won't close. As an adult I struggle with reconstructing the kit. I like items that are easily assembled and cleaned up by my child. That helps teach responsibility. I end up puzzling over the pieces and hoping the case will snap shut.

I wanted our daughter to be more comfortable with doctor visits so I figured a kit with her own tools would be useful.

The pros are that she loves it and plays with it a LOT.
The cons are that there are two cardboard cards for it, but only one fits on the door of the box. They need to be laminated so they don't wear out so easily, and should fit one on each side, or one inside, one out.
It is too hard for her to open the latch (she's 3) and I have to do it for her.
The box BARELY holds everything. You have to put it in *just so* or it won't close.
It says that it's a 'working' stethoscope, but it's not.

But for a child with imagination, all-in-all it's a great toy!

The kit is adorable but the stethoscope is difficult to use for little ones and even big ones, like myself. It began to so signs of stress on the plastic the very day my grand daughter first used it. It has not broken but I do not expect it to last long.

Bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter, while she loved playing with the instruments, she was very frustrated when trying to put all the items in the tiny little case (I even had problems). She (and I also) had problems opening the plastic latch. Luckily I had a cute plastic box to store the items and discarded the case.
