My Grandson, London (2 1/2 yrs.) just loves his workshop. He loves putting things together and then taking them apart. Grandma & Grandpa purchased the workshop for Easter...much better than giving a lot of candy. My daughter said that she loves the shelf on the bottom to store all of the pieces. It is realistic and a great learning tool. Boys just love to tinker no matter what the age. My daughter would recommend it for any child 2 and up.

This workbench was not what I expected. I encourage people to really look at the deminsions. It is significantlly smaller and so light that it blows over with a strong gust of wind. The "blueprints" that come with it, is also not as simple. You have to sit down with the child and show him.....I thought it might be something simple to have him figure out on his own. Not for a (4) year old as far as the blueprint! BUT he does love sitting down and trying to make pieces fit! This toy was way to expensive for its quality and size. it is smaller than a basic basic girls kitchen and it costs more! I will never recommend this item to anyone. When they only carry it online and not in the store - that is my FIRST CLUE!

Very good Christmas present for my 4 year old son!!! He plays with it everyday. Assemble before giving as a present b/c it takes a 1-2 hours to assemble and you will need two people to assemble. Batteries not included, so don't forget.

      This was a Christmas gift for my 3 year old son. He loves it. The foam wood pieces make fun easy projects for him to put together.

      The drill that comes with the set feels cheap and doesn't work the greatest. We purchased one separately which worked out well.

      Bought this for my 2.5 yr. old grandson and immediately was excited and involved. He did not know what to do first, drill, hammer. He was soooo excited. To my surprised, don't know why, my 5 yr. old granddaughter immediately started playing with it also. Cute, cute toy. Sturdy and well constructed which is why I love Step 2 products.

      Our son is under the age(1 year and 10 months) requirements for the work bench, but he Absolutely loves it! He left all his other toys behind. He just plays and plays and continues to play with this bench. He loves the drill, screws, and the vise. Our doesn't understand that if he pushes to hard on the drill it doesn't work. I understand for safety reasons the drill is designed this was but if it was a little bit stronger it would make a world of difference to the bench and play time. Overall we are happy with the bench. The 4 stars was for the drill issue...
