After multiple attempts to restrain puppy in one area,this is the answer. Dog ate thru plastic gates and could climb other type gates and could squeeze thru openings in metal gate due to her tiny size. Because of 0ne piece clear sheet she could not bite or climb I was finally able to keep her in one area.
This gate has been a godsend.

In this case, you get what you pay for. This gate is as cheap as they come, I guess I shouldn't be complaining because I should have known better- but this gate is bad. It is nearly impossible to open/move with a baby in your arms. You do so by pulling up on the wood bar that keeps the tension, however every single time you do so, both pieces collapse onto each other, fall into 2 pieces and then you have to fight with the gate trying to get it back on track to use again. Getting it back on track once it's fallen into 2 pieces is a gigantic pain, so have fun with that. When putting the gate up, you need to position it the proper distance between the walls and then push down on the bar to enact the tension. As you are doing this you can hear the wood cracking and stressing, and you are almost certain to pinch your finger on the metal clasp that secures the bar down. This gate could work for someone who will never ever move it, but for all others, pony up the extra $ and get a better gate. Now I have to go back and spend more $ on a good gate when I should have just done it right off the bat and saved myself some frustration.

Needed a movable barrier for kitchen area and other doorways. This was light and seemed like the way to go. Unfortunately, the light weight was indicative of the quality. Is this balsa wood? Cannot tighten it enough for a good fit in the doorways. When you do tighten it, you risk breaking the poorly designed locking mechanism or even snapping the wood. Returned this 10 minutes after getting it home. Others have mentioned using as a barrier underneath a desk to prevent access to cables. Great suggestion and might be functional for that, but do not count on this flimsy thing for blocking doorway access even if it did somehow fit perfectly.

We bought this gate for our kitchen doorway not wanting to spend a lot but still want it looking half decent. So disappointed! No matter what we tried it does not fit correctly. If we make it tight, you can hear the wood splintering, if we loosen it even one rung, all four pads are no where near the walls! We will be spending the extra money and getting one that works.

I hate it! Worst experience with a gate so far! It just keep falling... My 9 months old baby keep knocking it down all the time!

I thought this gate would be great but first it was hard to set up, fighting for an hour to get it to secure. The gate is soo flimsy that my puppy can just knock it over.

Low price is why we purchased this gate - I should have done more research, but I thought a gate is a gate - we just needed a barrier for a doorway. The gate will not tighten properly and just falls over, so I am returning it.

I use the gate to help keep a kitten safe while she meets & greets the resident older kitties we have. It works great because they can see each other and no one gets hurt.

these gates are too short for climbers and they are not good on slightly uneven door frames. you can not get them tight enough to stay up and if you up it a notch it seems like the arm is going to snap.
