I have had this thermometer for 3 years now and it works better than any other thermometer we've tried (temperol scan, ear, forehead strips, oral put under arm!) This thermometer is always accurate, easy to use, comfortable for baby and gives a fast response. It says 30 seconds but it's always 15-20 for me! Don't forget to add a degree when taken under the arm! I reccommend this thermometer to all my new Mom friends for their babies. It's a registry must have.

Hasn't once taken an accurate temp.! Haven't actually even been able to get it up to 98.6 even when trying on myself. And it's supposed to remember the last temp taken...so far it's always been wrong and if you touch it at all the temp. changes.

Worked for probably a whole month before you'd take a temp and every time it'd say 94. Buy a better model.

I haven't tried it on baby yet, but I tried it on myself and when you add the degree you are suppose to when measuring outside the body - its as accurate as the mouth kind. Its very quick, quicker than the mouth kind. Good and inexpensive product.

Got this to avoid the thermometer-in-the-bottom thing, and never got more than a 96* reading. Took her temperature again rectally and got 102*, so not happy. It seems like a great idea, but it just doesn't work.

This thermometer doesn't work right at all. Maybe I got a bad one or something but I have checked it many times and its very inaccurate. I knew my 2 year old had a fever one night and checked it with this thermometer and it said 98.6. I knew this wasnt' right so I took it rectally and it was 103.0! Big difference!

I've had this thermometer for a year now and use it on all 3 of my kids. Even this morning I was testing it against a new ear thermometer I bought. This thermometer took no less than 20 minutes to tell me that my temperature was 2 degrees higher than the ear thermometer said. It is accurate but you have to push the on button over and over and over again (ever since the beginning) and be extremely patient. My 6 year old (who gets fevers up to 105) can be in tears over the process because he already feels so terrible. It is accurate, it is cheap, it is more comfortable it just takes too long.

Because of the large surface area, the thermometer is cold on a baby's skin. I would have to take my temp first just to take the chill off. It would take a few reads before the temp was accurate. It does take a quick read which is nice.

I use this thermometer most with my 4 years old and because it takes up to 2 minutes she get very aggitated and I am never sure I get an accuacte reading. If you have a patient child or an older child I think this will work fine. If they are a squimmer, I would opt. for something else. Two minutes doesn't seem like a long time until you are trying to hold a piece of plastic under an irritated kids arm.
