    We bought this hoop 2 years ago for my oldest son, who is now 4. My youngest son has been playing with it as well for the past year. We are getting him his own hoop for his 3rd birthday this weekend. My older son likes to play with the hoop at the 5' or 6' heights but my younger son is still shooting at the 4' height. By having 2 hoops they will be able to play by themselves at the height they want, or we will put them on opposite ends of the yard and they can play 'full court' basketball. This past winter we left the original hoop outside on our deck. It withstood the snow and the cold. The only thing we replaced this year was the net. It's been outside in all kinds of weather for the past 2 years so we didn't mind replacing it. We love this, it's one of the best toys we have purchased.

    From day one, I could never get the upright to fit properly into the base and was always forced to shim it to keep it from tipping. Beyond that, it worked fine, but from a company with a reputation like FP, I expected better. Then,when I went to sell it later on, I tried to download the instruction manual but only received a one-page caution about plastic shavings inside the rim. I ended up having to give it away instead of recouping a little bit of money. I find it hard to believe I was the only one with this problem, but don't see any mention of it anywhere. Who knows?

      I picked this product after a lot of online research. I went with this one because of it's wide base and the adjustments that go from 3-6 feet. My 2 year old got it for his birthday and he is in love! I like that it is also big and sturdy enough for my 5 year old to play too. After reading other reviews, I knew to purchase a "real" junior size basketball and it works perfectly with the set. The only feature that we found annoying is that at the 3 foot height, the hoop and part of the post is in it's own slot. To move it to 4 feet, you have to be able to pull it out and attach to the other pole. From there it easily adjust to 5 and 6 feet. We have already put it on the 4 foot setting for my 2 year old and it is just great! Definitely recommend this though:).

      Still in use after 7 years!

      We've had this item in our After School Program for more than 7 years and the kids use it every day (heavy use). The net didn't last but the kids didn't notice. It gets hours of heavy play every day and it's still good as new. Doesn't tip during play, yet they can move it. Thank you, Fisher Price, for an awesome product!

      AWESOME TOY and worth every penny

      This is an awesome value!! I bought this item for my son 5 years ago for his 3rd birthday. He is now 2 weeks away from turning 8 and finally our basketball hoop has seen its better day...and I am getting ready to purchase another one because I am so satisfied with the product!!!! This basketball hooop is so well made, my basketball hoop has sat outside for 5 years and has blown over or been knocked over hundreds of times and it has still held up. It's fun and my two boys play with this nearly every day. It never gets boring and really is a good value. It's great that it can adjust between 4 and 6 feet so it grows with your child. I highly recommend this toy for any little boy between the ages of 3 and 8.

            My husband and I bought this for Christmas for our 3-1/2 year old grandson because he loves throwing the ball into a makeshift hoop in his room. It was instant happiness!! This basketball set is terrific and seems especially durable. It gives him hours of playtime fun!! He especially loves playing it with his Pawpaw!!! The nice part about this is that it can grow as he grows, so I anticipate it being around a long time
