This is the best deal out there! You're able to use regular trash bags. If you double bag your diapers with inexpensive food storage bags, there is miminal "stink". Let's face it, poop stinks! The type of diaper pail isn't going to change that, so I'm not sure what all the reviewers are complaining about with this product. We've had ours for 3 years with two babies and I'm just buying a second one now.

I registered for and received this diaper pail and couldn't be happier. It's simple, doesn't require any expensive refills and you can put an air freshener inside the lid. I use plastic grocery bags in it.

At first i loved this diaper pail, in fact i have two of them, but once your child gets older and has real poop it just doesn't cut it. You can smell it in the next room. Don't waste your money on this one.

We used the Diaper Champ for a while and let's just say it started to stink...so we bought this and the deoderizers and the scented trash bags. I even bought the scented plastic diaper sacks to tie the diaper in before I threw it away and it still stunk! I just bought the Diaper Genie II Elite and am keeping my fingers crossed.

The pail is so light that it moves around when you try to step on the pedal. Even when it is right up against the wall, you have to push the base of the pail back to the wall (so the bottom isn't flat on the floor) just to be able to press the pedal down, and then the lid still doesn't open far enough to toss in diapers/wipes. Further, the design of the snap-on lid makes it virtually impossible to use a diaper pail liner any thicker than a regular trash bag. I would not buy this again or recommend it to anyone; in fact, I'm going to get a small kitchen garbage can to use instead.

We bought this to use as a dry pail for our cloth wipes and diaper liners. It works great and I love the step feature.

Everything worked properly on this product. I was nervous after reading some reviews where theirs didn't work or broke, but everything is fine with the diaper pail I purchased. It is all one color (white) which is fine with me. The step-pedal works just fine and I think this will be perfect for the needs of my step-daughter's first baby.

Worked out great for us... never tried the genie types so I cannot compare. 8 gallon trash bags fit perfectly. Conceals the stink very well, and usually emptied twice per week. The only bummer is that our curious baby was able to lift the lid and get into the pail a couple times, but we never had any diaper disasters thankfully!
