The award-winning BreathableBaby Breathable Bumper - Sage reduces the risks of suffocation, entanglement and climbing. Made with Air Channel Technology fabric, this bumper promotes airflow and helps maintain air access for baby. The Breathable Bumper also helps keep little limbs safe inside the crib with its soft, padded design. The bumper is trimmed in satin, and the infant-facing side is made with breathable, padded hypoallergenic mesh. The fastener sides face outward. The award-winning Breathable Mesh Crib Liner helps prevent suffocation, re-breathing carbon dioxide, and getting arms and legs stuck in crib slats. The simple, stylish design will coordinate with any nursery d cor. Made with Suffocation Prevention Technology fabric, this liner promotes airflow and helps maintain air access for baby. The infant-facing side is made with breathable, hypoallergenic mesh. Package includes one short and one long panel to provide coverage with no gaps between crib slats. The long and short panels wrap snuggly to the slats with adjustable easy-to-use hook-and-loop fasteners that face outward away from baby. Secure the center ties on the center back and front long crib rail sides to help prevent sagging. Tuck below the mattress for extra protection from limbs sticking out. We just moved our son from his bassinet to his crib 3 days ago. He's 4 1/2 months old. He has an odd way of sleeping--it involves turning his head upward and burying it into something! With the regular bumper that came with the bedding, he would surely have suffocated himself. The breathable bumper is perfect because he can sleep how he wants without hurting himself. A bumper is a must so he doesn't bang his face up against the wood of the crib. The only downside is that it doesn't fit the crib perfects...it sags a little in spots.

This product is a great idea! I was under the impression when I purchased it that it was for solid end cribs. It even says on the packaging that it is for solid end cribs. So, I get it in and am so excited, bc 1. it's safer for my baby, 2. we haven't found a crib bumper that fits solid end cribs and now we have!
I start reading on the packaging (the small print) that it is not for use with solid end cribs. I was very disappointed, but it says to go to the website to get info for solid end cribs. From the website, i get that I have to purchase another breathable bumper to make it work for my crib! What?? The thing is you need 2 short sides for this crib, and you get a long side and a short side. So, I'm in the process of finding a seamstress to fix my one long side and making it a short side. Other than that it's a great idea and a great bumper. I love the craftsmanship and the velcro instead of ties. The color was a little brighter than the picture. It's not the duller sage. My baby has a neutral room with beige walls, and its not exactly a neutral type color, but it works in there. All in all, I'm sure that it's a great purchase for someone with a slatted crib. Personally, if I had it to do over again, I would buy a slat end crib!!

      I had this for my older DD and it worked great, when she was a few days old she managed to get her arm caught in the slats of her crib. After that i found this product and put it in her crib and never had an issue again. It was washable and didn't slide around that much (until she could stand on it). It did seem big, but I just wove it between more slats and it was fine.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        We had one of these for our mini crib and loved it! Was so excited to get one for our regular sized crib! It's really not hard to install, I didn't even watch the video they recommend going to for installation help. It looks great, I think better than a traditional bumper. Definitely much easier to remove and put on!!!

          Its breathable and it makes me feel a lot better that my daughter's arms and legs can't get stuck in her crib slats. Totally breathable, I put my mouth and nose right into it and it was like breathing normally. Would get 5 stars if it had vertical Velcro also on the ends, purely for cosmetic reasons.

              I really thought the idea of these breathable bumpers was awesome. I had done a lot of research and decided that they would be the safest for my baby. I bought them and right off the bat knew I was in for it simply when I went to put them on the crib (way complicated) I definitely saved the directions I would never be able to put them back on without them! besides the annoying and lengthy process of putting them in the crib they are super annoying when you have to change the sheets because anything that pushes on them makes them slide down... so pretty much they always slide down beside the mattress when I put the mattress back in once the new sheets on (and my mattress fits snug in the crib) my son unties the ties and or uses the bumpers to pull himself up which again pushes the bumpers down... I am constantly rearranging them in the crib...

              Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                Love this! We felt much safer using this than any other bumpers. It helped keep our little girl's arms and legs from slipping through the slats of her crib.
                It was plenty easy to install. We had no problems. Fits our crib perfect. We're super happy with this!

                  Very happy with the breathable dumper, so far it's absolutely perfect for my 4month's old needs. He's an active sleeper, turning and wiggling all through the night and this bumper protects his precious little head from continual bumping on the slacks of his crib. I knew I didn't want a bumper on his crib because it's such a horrible hazard but we would hear him throughout the night bumping around; I'm so happy there is this wonderful mesh breathable bumper out there. It's affordable and it's not overly difficult to install. It did get a little confusing but with some time and PATIENCE I got it figured out. :) definitely recommend this product!

                      I registered for this item thrilled by the breathable safety feature. After a friend gave me hers because it did not fit her crib, I found it did not fit mine either. It was difficult to install, had to go on line to watch video, more than once. Bumper was too small to wrap all the way around.

                            Not supposed to use bumpers, but we found this acceptable. Our little guy started getting his arms and legs caught between the crib bars - scary for both us and him! A bit difficult to install on our particular crib and its a pain to change the sheet & mattress pad, but we're all sleeping better knowing our itty bitty is safe.
