We bought this item for my little girl to keep busy with when we have to wait at an appointment or are in the car, and she loves it! The size is perfect as it fits well on her little lap and when closed is almost like a purse, which every little girl her age loves to have. The price is great for all the things that come with it and the construction is high quality with a great zipper all the way around to keep things in place. We will buy this again as a unique and creative gift to give!

I LOVE this product and so does my daughter! I was sorry to see others don't see the value in it that I do. Its perfectly sized for her lap and the crayons and chalk are perfect.

I bought this for my daughter for a trip we were taking and she LOVES it. The zipper around the outside is a great feature because everything stays in place. The chalk works great on the chalkboard and the crayons are washable which is a nice feature. I have bought several of these for gifts since them and they have all been a hit. I think the price is reasonable for what you get (even though the other reviewers don't). It is a unique all in one that we don't go anywhere without.

I think this product is overpriced for what you get. The picture makes it seem much larger than it acutally is. It's not even the size of an 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper. I was expecting to be able to put some of my daughters coloring books in it for trips but they won't fit. Not what I was expecting at all. I definitely wouldn't purchase it again.

Just wanted to give an alternate view...
I was skeptical about how well the velcro closures would work but they do. I didn't pay full price but did get a new item and my daughter loves it. She hangs it on baby's stroller and loves to 'draw draw' on both the paper (which is incredibly flimsy but it will run out anyway so you'll have to supplement with your own) and the chalkboard. Not sure why previous review couldn't get drawing on chalkboard; it's a non issue for my daughter.
Great size for wee hands and very colorful.
I think it is over-priced but if that's an issue, shop around. Construction looks good to me, if the velcro closures come loose I'll just improvise my own so not sure about longevity but all in all a good investment with hours of fun.
PS: you can get zipper close versions also.

I purchased this for my two y/o for car trips etc. Not only was it was cheaply made but it came with 4 pieces of chalk, a small box of crayons, and a flimsy pad of paper. You can hardly write on the chalkboard and the price is beyond ridiculous. It is not worth more than [$] if that. We threw it out it was so not worth it! I do not recommend.
