I was looking for a bike for my son's 3rd birthday. I found this bike on sale and bought it. After reading some of the reviews I paid the $10 and bought one that was assembled. He has had it over a month now and rides it at least 2 hours a day every day. Nothing has happened to it - it is still working as perfectly as the day I got it!

My 3 year old son got this bike as a birthdAy present.... I really loved this bike... It was easy for him to handle and he got used to it right away... The training wheels are a little bit uncomfortable but it's nothing that u can't fix.. I loved this bike so much that my husband and I are going to buy the bigger size one for him... It's a great buy for the money and for first leaners...

I purchased this bicycle for my son eight months ago. He loves it. He rides it a lot and he loves to ride it fast. The only problem we have with it is the past couple of months the pedal always comes off while my son is riding.

My son is on his bike 24/7 and we have no problems with this bike. It has been great. Don't be cheap and spend the extra $10.00 to have it assembled by toys r us!!

After a year, this bike is falling apart. The chain constantly falls off. The pedal constantly falls off. We are constatntly tightening the training wheels. Stinks b/c we hardly ride it anymore because we end up having to fix it out on our ride and son gets frustrated. We wanted to get a bigger bike for his birthday but that is still 3 months away. Will steer clear of this brand for our next bike.

My 4 year old grandson loves it. Fit him great. If he could find a way to take it to bed with him I'm sure he would.

My 4 year old's confidence and skills are HUGE when he is on this bike, so, ONLY for that, I give it a thumbs up. He could care less about the quality and the time I spent making it right for him:-)

We have had no issues for a year now,(but read on) modified rollerblade training wheels are off now, @ 4 years of age, and he likes this bike better than his bigger 16" wheel Superman bike, because it is so much easier to control. I wish it was easier to change gearing so he could go faster and spin slower.

Any one who doesn't know what to expect from a dept store bike could be surprised by lack of quality. I know how to fix bikes, kind of knew what to expect, and I wasn't about to dish out 150.00 for a only marginally better trek, etc.

I also had to adjust the wheel bearing preload; seems the factory workers, at their rate of pay, could care less about proper assembly. My bad for even supporting cheap labor by buying this bike new, nothing well ever change until we get better at reusing, recycling. *We do have 6 reused kids and adult bikes)

I replaced the plastic training wheels with rollerblade wheels, merely for sanity reasons.Try it, you'll love it...

I had to replace the tube liners to keep the spoke nipples from piercing the tubes regularly. THAT'S what's causing flats when you properly inflate the tires...

Our pedals never fell off, but if you use a real pedal wrench you will never have that problem. If one doesn't service or check items such as these occasionally on ANY bike, one shouldn't be surprised when some issue pops up like a pedal falling off:-)

Now I am looking for a new seat for it.....

We just bought this bike for my 3 1/2 year old. It's perfectly sized for him, nice looking bike, and will last him a good couple years before he needs something bigger. I probably would have been willing to pay a little more for it than I did.

The only con: the instruction manual. It's pretty much generic for most bikes, included assembly instructions for features this bike does not have (i.e. handlebar brakes). We really barely used the manual. A book full of blank pages probably would have been as useful.

My son has ridden this bike for the past two years. Overall, it is a good bike. The seat stays in position, the handlebars don't twist, the chain doesn't skip, and the training wheels work well. The only defect that I can't understand are the pedals. They fall off every once in awhile. I then have to screw them back on and tighten them down as much as possible, but a few weeks later, we'll be in the middle of a ride around the neighborhood, and his pedal will fall off. Other than that one problem, the bike has lasted. It's time for birthday number five, so that means he is graduating to the 16" bike in about two weeks. My youngest son will get this 12" bike, but before he rides it, I'll see about having the pedals replaced and hopefully that works.
