I bought this mini crib to use in the first months for my second kid as I had given away my first kids co sleeper bassinet. I musch prefer the mini crib to the mini co sleeper as this crib is more stylish and is portable in that you can wheel it through doors from room to room.
My son long for his age and at 4 months he still fits nicely.

I added a better mattress- LA Baby organic mini crib mattress and a mini crib breathable baby bumper so he wouldnt get his legs and arms caught.
I am really happy with this as the room my son is sleeping in is really not very big and a regular crib would be a tight squeeze.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

We wanted a mini crib to fit in our small condo. We considered getting one of the folding cribs, but when we saw them on display they seemed flimsy due to the folding mechanism. We read reviews that this crib is sturdy and it certainly is. It has NO dropside, which is why we really felt comfortable with it. It is also very pleasing to the eye. We bought it thinking that we would use the wheels, but we just built it tonight and we love the rocking feature. Actually my mom bought it for us as a gift, and she insisted on upgrading to a 3" mattress (which I do not think is necessary at least not when the baby is very small) so we put the thin mattress under the big mattress. We will not put wheels on it for a while because we think our newborn would be soothed by the rocking. I cannot imagine a baby so big that he would not fit in this crib. I am so glad I did not get a standard size crib. If our baby grows extremely tall we will cross that bridge when we come to it. Our baby is due in December and we are confident she will love this crib. Look at the picture! We are waiting for the baby bedding.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
