We're expecting baby #2 in April and picked this bed for our 19 month old daughter. Giving her time to adjust to the transition before baby takes over the crib. I assembled the bed myself with a belly in the way and it wasn't hard at all. Just follow the directions and use common sence. I am very impressed with it! Very sturdy but light enough to move around for cleaning. Recommended weight limit is 50 pounds, although I wouldn't recommend sitting on it yourself regularly, I sat on it (prego 135lbs) and it didn't break. Extra hardware is included if you wanted to put up both safety rails. My daughter loves it and didn't put up a fight moving to her big girl bed at all. The cherry stain is beautiful and matches our Jardine nursery set perfectly. I will certainly recommend this bed, we did a lot of comparison shopping for safety and reviews and this was the best for the price.

We got this because of a crib recall and no longer needed a crib for my 21mos old, so toddler transition was the plan. This is a nice bed and is 100% solid wood, which is nice if staining is necessary. [...] The wood support bottom seemed a little sketchy, but in the end seems strong enough, although the most difficult part to assemble. I don't think that we would buy it again because the part that becomes a full size headboard is a little on the short side. I am afraid you won't see the headboard once you get the boxspring/mattress set up. Overall, great toddler bed we will just have to see what it looks like in 2-3 years when it's time for bigger.

Great quality. Very pleased with this product. My daughter absolutely loves it and I love the fact that it is going to grow with her and we won't be buying ANOTHER bed in two years.

My 2 year old likes the bed especially he can easily get in and out of it. So far we haven't heard a "thud" at night so the rail keeps him in it as much as he flops around. I like the wood color, overall doesn't look cheap. My husband didn't complain about the assembly part so it must have been easy. He will be using this bed 'til he is 18!

Comments about Million Dollar Baby Elizabeth II Convertible Toddler Bed - Cherry:

My husband and I recently purchased this toddler bed for our 2 year-old little boy. We are expecting our second child next month and wanted to save $$ by not having 2 cribs. The bed looks great, was easy to assemble, but is VERY small. Our son is a BIG boy for 2, and the bed does not suit him. To me, it was not worth [$] because the bed is small. Therefore, it would not be good for a big toddler like ours. He takes up almost the whole thing and doesn't have room to roll around (which he does a lot of).

I bought this bed for my 16 month old daughter, she absolutely loves it and so do I but I agree with the other moms, this bed is ridiculously hard to assemble. I was a bit annoyed, I had to run out to [...] to buy new bolts, the ones that came with the bed were defected. The worst of it is it took me several hours screwing and unscrewing and darn near stripping my screws before I figured out the bolts were defective..."Woe Is Me"!!

Comments about Million Dollar Baby Elizabeth II Convertible Toddler Bed - Cherry:

My 19 month old son has been sleeping in this bed for 2 weeks and LOVES it. I put it together myself with his "help" while 7 months pregnant and it took about 2 hours. The directions leave a lot to be desired but I managed to figure out what goes where by process of elimination. I really like the option of having 2 side rails across the entire front. My son was not necessarily ready for a "bed" but we will be needing the crib for his new brother. The side is low enough that he can get in and out easily but high enough that I don't worry about him falling out. It is also nice that it continues to use his crib bedding. The familiarity of that has made the transition much smoother.

I love this bed. I bought it for my 21 month old daughter on-line. My husband is in the military so I had to put it together myself. I'm 6 months pregnant and got it put together in under an hour. I was worried my daugter wouldn't like it, but she slept in it all night and it was easy for her to get in and out of and it's extremely sturdy.

Comments about Million Dollar Baby Elizabeth II Convertible Toddler Bed - Cherry:

Our son jumped into this bed before we could even get the sheets on the mattress. Because he'll be sharing a room with his new sibling, his old crib is in the same room...and he doesn't even look twice at his crib before climbing into his big boy bed.
The size is perfect for him and the room. (We did purchase the queen bed conversion for later because suspect that he will need more space in 2 years or so.)
The bed is solid and really nicely made. All the pieces fit together with no "mystery" gaps. The option to have 2 safety rails is nice peace of mind, but the bed is low enough to the ground that we're not that worried about a potential roll-out when we remove the second rail. The wood (cherry) is beautiful. And, it was easily assembled...in fact, our son helped and had a ball doing it!
All in all, this bed was a perfect choice for the big boy bed transition. We really have no complaints and would highly recommend it.
