I've read theses reviews of people wishing there was a thicker mattress and there is: the Da Vinci Crescent Mini Crib Mattress. It's 6". I'm in the market for a mini crib and was discouraged reading what others had to say about the thinness of the other mattress but was excited when I found this one! Let's hope it's as good as it says it is!

I'm surprised at the flimsiness of this mattress for the price. It's basically like a thick 3in mattress pad. When you put a sheet on it, it squishes it down at the corners and sides so that there's a significant gap between the crib sides and the mattress. It also makes alot of noise everytime my daughter moves on it. I will be trying the Da Vinci Crescent 50 Coil Mini Mattress- hopefully will be better.

Mattress is not worth the money paid. Unfortunately, you're stuck buying the mattress if you want a smaller size crib as there are no other alternatives.

As previous reviewer stated this mattress has a tough exterior that is very noisy when moved. It feels very plastic-y and wrinkles easily. It is definitely better than the pad supplied with the mini crib, but still has a lot of room for improvement. It has sagged quite significantly in the middle with only four months of use. My daughter does not seem comfortable on it any longer and it will have to be replaced. Unfortunately there are no other choices for mattresses of this size. Da Vinci seems to be the only manufacturer.

I purchased this item along with a Davinci mini-crib. I like the mattress, but I wish they make more like 4", 5"..... This is the only available mattress for the mini-crib so far.
Overall, it's firm and I like it.

This is slightly better than the 1" pad that is included with the mini DaVinci crib. The new parents seem to think it's OK, but I have doubts about it's comfort. The outer covering is water proof and non-allergenic, but feels tough and it's very noisey when sliding blankets across it even with a crib sheet on. Maybe with a pad underneath it will be OK. With a new born you don't want the matress Too soft, but that's certainly not a worry with this one. Time will tell.
